I finally got around to taking my daughter to take her road test. We spent an hour and a half sitting around waiting(no suprise there) When she finally got to go out for her test the woman was insulting and rude. Way to boost the 17 year olds nerves, insult the cleanliness of the vehicle. It wasnt newly detailed but its not filthy either. She asked my daughter what had been in the car, poor kid didnt know how to respond to that(she said dirty feet). She insisted there had been a dog in the car (not sure what that has to do with anything) and brushed off the seat before she entered, and when she got out. I mean if i was supposed to clean the car before hand no one told us. :?I told my daughter, who did get her licence after 10 nerve wracking minutes, that maybe she didnt get what she wanted for Christmas.
Which office were you at? I went to the one in Garner yesterday to get my license renewed and I was in and out in 30 minutes. One of the men that works there reminded me of the security guard on the TV show Martin. He had some serious horse teeth going on. I bet he could chew the heck out of an apple!
We were at the DMV today too and it was a nightmare! I agree with the rude people that were working there as well. It took over an hour and a half just to get the renewal and all that is required for a renewal is an eye test and the sign test. This was the one on 42.
Thanks Ken, I might have already asked that ? awhile ago. Mine is coming up in May. Do you have to do it on or can you do it before your birthday?
All I had to do was take the eye test and sign test. I went to the one in Garner and had no problems.
I've gone to the 42 DMV and rudeness with a capital R. All I wanted to do was ask a question since I had cataract surgery. They had me sit for a few minutes and then asked a dozen questions, not relevant, and gave me the eye test, I missed one and the comment was awful and then rushed my pic. I was not prepared for all that but it was done anyway even though I told the lady (?) all I wanted was a question answered. If we live in Johnston Co. can we go to the one in Garner? Ro
Tanks Kell - from now on, Garner will be the DMV for me. When we moved here in 2004, we were told we could only go to Johnston Co. DMV's. Certainly will make my trip there nicer. Ro
Those people at the DMV on 42 are so rude it actually makes me laugh. They made me take a number and told me to go sit and wait when i was the only person there ( I got there at 8:00). As soon as I turned my back they called my number over the loud speaker. I just had to laugh. My friend told me they kept making a disabled person get up and move to the next chair when they had their waiting room set up where you had to move from chair to chair each time a person was called.
