I have been trying to remember this movie for years, but every time I think I found it, it turns out to be wrong. I saw it many years ago (mid sixties or so) on TV. Here is what I think I remember (I may be wrong on any or all points)... It was a musical (or at least had music in it, ala an Elvis movie) It involved hillbillies At one point (I think through song) a person was describing a matchmaker or a witch of some sort that had an "evil eye" which, when she looked at you something happened. On this last point, during the description, the person doing the describing was wearing glasses and when he talked about the woman looking at you, he put his fingers through the frame revealing that there actually were no lenses in the frame. I'm not sure if this was important to the plot or just a bit of humour, but it is the one thing I definitely remember. Any idea what the movie is?
That was one of the movies I had thought about. But, it didn't seem to have the scene I described (the guy with glasses sans lenses)
