Anyone live there? We are thinking of buying a house within the next few months in one of the two subdivisions.(basically the same area)

Just wondering if you like it/good builders/quality house etc.

    Thanks.

My inlaws just bought a house in Twisted Oaks and my husband and I are going to live there while our house is being built in another subdivision. Their house is nice and they got a really good price compared to a lot of other subdivisions in the area. It seems to be really quiet, and the neighbors we've met so far are nice and say they like it there.

My good friend just moved to Hunters Mills 2 months ago. Really beautiful house. There are still plenty up for sale and they are still building in that area.

THanks for the info! We were just riding around out there again and like it.

I honestly don't like that area. Mainly because of the closeness to C3 church. With the very bright lights, and noise. I honestly would try a different neighborhood. I also know for a fact that, that neighborhood is used as a shortcut from Josephine to CSR.

CSR lights aren't that big a bother. Traffic along Josephine can be, especially around school drop off and pick up time..or when the HS lets out, and the road race begins.

I'll admit that I tried to use it as a shortcut...ONCE...and decided that the twists and turns, the narrow streets, and the chance of encountering bike riders, kids, pedestrians took more time that going to CSR at Josephine....

I've asked around the 'hood'. Pretty much we're all in agreement and don't take the shortcut.

If you are looking at Hunter's Mill and Twisted Oaks, you might also like Jordan Ridge and Island Creek. They are just over the hill, or across the street from the two you mentioned and have some very beautifully built houses, and both have a new phase going in right now so plenty on the market. Probably could find flatter lots than in Twisted Oaks, and no through street short cut, but still just as convenient to the local Cleveland School community. Also, just in case you need the info...Jordan Ridge sends their students to Polenta, Island Creek to Cleveland Elementary.

Jordan Ridge has been having some problems with theft. A few kids have been caught stealing things from houses.

Isn't this the same neighborhood this Summer that had the visit from the convicted Murder/Rapist? And isn't he suppose to have another visit this January or was he being released to his brother in Jordan Ridge this January?

I hadn't heard anything about that. So I really couldn't tell you.

If they were caught maybe they won't have problems any longer8) May be a really safe place to be if everyone is on their toes now.

The visit by the RSO was well publicized. With that level of scrutiny, I’m sure that the perp had no illusion that he was going into a naïve community. And, as Mom said, the kids were caught…

Jordan Ridge is in the process of initiating a Neighborhood Watch program. The 100 or so homes being built in the new phase are nicely constructed. Not sure if they are on septic as the rest of JR is (larger footprint lots for septic drain) or sewage. Twisted Oaks developer paid for the county to bring in sewage there, so the lots are smaller, and as opposed to septic, you are actually paying for sewage treatment.
