Bob from Bob and the showgram was just talking about going there recently and said that everyone should go. Sounds like they had a blast! Think it is pretty expensive but combining entertainment with lodging may be worth it!!

We've been there several times and LOVE it. It is a blast to go to....make sure you ride the tornado after dark...it's incredible.

The first time we went, we also did Busch Gardens. Another time we paired it with Colonial Williamsburg and Jamestown. Last summer, we just spend a few days at the Great Wolf Lodge and had even more fun. (We went with a Grandmother, 3 kids, and DH and me...something great for all ages.)

Great Wolf is AWESOME. I recommend going during an off season b/c like all parks its much more fun when its not too crowded. I was surprised when we went last March how many people were there during a non- spring break week.

Be prepare for their steep price. They usually charge over $120 per night, something like that.

That's expensive? That's about the price of your average Hampton Inn, probably cheaper than a Courtyard.

Follow up - Went and looked it up and for a Family Balcony Suit it is $220.00 to $350.00 a night

I have not heard of this before either, sounds great. The one in NC is not open yet... but it sounds like it is all indoors and they give great discounts for winter!! Thanks for the info!

We loved Sea mist when the kids were younger, all inclusive, never had to leave, just walk to everything....

Keep in mind the price of the room includes the admission to the water park for all people in the room. If you have 4 people going, calculate the admission for them to a water park/amusement park for a day, subtract it from the room cost, and you'll see how much you are paying just for the room. It is actually very reasonable. Also, go to their website and look for specials. They have them during the "slow" times and you can get substantial discounts sometimes.

Wow! I didn't realized that the price had gone up already. We paid $120 few years ago during off season. You can go to their website and sign up for their mailing list. We get discount coupon every once in a while from them.
