Crazy Horse My question is where? It seemed that place was only big enough for 50-75 people (from the view from the road).
I agree, we drove by today and saw about 6 investigators all huddled together and with the walls down I was amazed at how small it was. Of course in my youth I did frequent a couple of these establishments and they typically had multiple shifts working 7 days a week.
"It's tough to wake up on Sunday morning and find that one of your businesses has burned down," said co-owner Jerry Reid. "Thank God we have some insurance that will help us out a little bit." unless she had recently sold the property the owner of the land and building was the widow of harvey gordon, a life-long resident of the clayton area. crazy horse rented the property and paid for all upgrades including the paved parking area and expansion of the building several years ago.
That was sort of a surprise to see that place smoldering today and it did look very small in there for that kind of establishment. Must have been really cozy in there with all those customers....egh!
I always found it funny that it was next to the ag field where the spread manure. Just ads to the ambiance!
I too was surprised that the place looked even smaller after the fire. I drove by there around 8:30 a.m. and there were still flames.
What kind of person was Harvey Gordon? Apparently not the typical kind of life-long resident that made Johnston county a great place to live.
"It's tough to wake up on Sunday morning and find that one of your businesses has burned down," said co-owner Jerry Reid. "Thank God we have some insurance that will help us out a little bit." Does anyone else see anything odd about this statement? I wanna see if anyone else caught what I did before I say what I see in it.
It is certainly a new world. What with your daughter calling them "manwhores" and mine calling boys in school "malewhores" they have changed the landscape. Proud of both. Grace
My comment to my wife was that I bet it was either a Thumper or insurance. There was enough accelerant used, but then again it was a bar.
