Maybe so. LOL I have seen a few things done that were not lets say tasteful. I always do the right thing when one of my friends are doing something a little questionable I make sure nobody is recording. I think women are not as over the line as the guys are at these things.
I have to disagree....some women act like complete fools at 'All Male" Review's shows and private showings....embarassing even to the entire gender.
If I go into my view of "defile", I would only probably cause an uproar. If it is ok with you, can I PM you?
Sure, but I don't see what purpose it would serve as far as the conversation is concerned. The Bible does not condemn stripping per se. It only makes reference to it in one place, and even then it's not specifically clear that it was stripping and may have been a allusion to other more egregious acts. That is when Herod's daughter danced for Herod and was granted the head of John the Baptist in return. The fact that you are of an opinion that stripping is defiling one's body has no bearing on the facts at hand. As I said earlier, the same could be said (and has been said by others) of dancing in general.
Yep. Had a grandfather who was a Deacon of his local Southern Baptist Church and for some time he believed that dancing, makeup, etc. came from the devil. Good thing we did not live near him at the time. Seems like his church changed at some point and so did his views on all of that. He was a pretty good guy, don't know why or how he was convinced that those were the work of the devil. Grace
This whole thread is proof that the bible should only be read a little at the time or it will confuse and make some people a lil crazy.
I read the Bible a lot and am not confused in the least. It's not how much you read the Bible, it's the mindset you have when you read it.
Bingo! That's why we need separation of church and state. I don't care what a person's religion is or if they have one but don't force it on me. People cannot have it both ways...but want it both way...just wanted to remind those who quote the dear old "Bible" all of the time or think a preacher who speaks about religion on the campaign trail should be in office need to regroup and rethink. To each their own as long as they leave others alone! Grace
just catchig up on this thread. do not know if anyone has responded to your question. harvey was a great man. had a great family. he was a builder. had at least 3 brothers to my knowledge. one of the brothers was star on the 1953 clayton high school state football championship and went on to be starter at ecu as a center on the football team. the gordon brothers worked hard and played hard. tough as nails!!! harvey was definitely the kind of life-long resident that made johnston county a great place to live.
NOT!!! Yep! Sounds like a real fine, upstanding establishment. A place where the activities taking place within would make Jesus proud! NOT!!
