I would prefer to have them TODAY (YES, have the parents come from work) and an apology from the thief with their parents there. But, I am bitchy like that.

My Daughter got back the cell phone today and her friend got her camera.
She doesn't know the boy who stole from her. She heard he may get suspended.

...and, the police should be involved since he stole someone's personal property! Unless on his own he realized he did wrong and came forward. Then maybe just let the school and parents dole out punishment.

You should demand details from the school. You should be told who he is and what the school's actions will be.

Yeah in a perfect world that would be great but unless things have changed drastically in the past 10 years, the injured party is not allowed to know the punishment for the guilty party due to privacy issues for the kid:rolleyes:

Oh...that must be why I didn't get any details. I didn't think about that. I just figured I would let the school take care of it. My Daughter is just very happy to have the things returned. I hope the child learned a lesson and won't do it again. I know my Daughter learned from the experience.
