http://www.cbsnews.com/stories/2008/01/09/ap/strange/main3692433.shtml Mom sells rule breaking son's car. Good for her!
I LOVED that story. I wanted to call her and just thank her for taking a stand. I would do the same thing too. Good for her!
I had read this earlier and applaud her for what she did!!! Way To Go!!!! Whether or not is was the boys or the friends, the rule was broken. Bet he learned his lesson!!!
I liked this dad, too. http://cgi.ebay.com/Guitar-Hero-III...ameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem#ebayphotohosting
How do all of you find these things? I have printed them off and put them on the refrigerator. I am not the only one in the world!!!!!!!!! Grace
What amazes me is the number of adults who think they went too far.... I knew about the Guitar Hero thing, and discussed it with some of the classes with whom I subbed last week. Consensus was that taking away the guitar game was overkill. And then I asked them as to what corrective behaviors their parents used to get their attention. I thought the punishments exactly fit the circumstances.
I agree Hat. This kid (in the OP) was given specific instructions regarding the car. He was told upfront what would happen if he broke those rules. So, what's the problem? And yes, I have heard anything from "public humiliation" to "child abuse" in regards to these parents doing just what they are supposed to do... PARENTING.
Ladies, You are always one step ahead on items. Last night and again this morning the major news networks are interviewing and speaking about this Mom. Robin Roberts is interviewing her now...gotta go. Grace
