Hey guys, i need your help. DH needs badly to go to the doctor for a checkup, it has been friggin forever. The problem is that with his work schedule he cannot get down here to our regular doctor at McGees. i need to find a family doctor in Garner or Raleigh who accepts Wellpath insurance. Anyone have experience with someone that you do not have to book an appt a month in advance with and that they trust. It takes practically pulling teeth to get him to go and he has finally agreed but now i have to find a convenient doctor:allears:
Call the Wake Urgent Care up at 42, can't seem to put my finger on the number right now, but I know one of the main docs up there is Wanda Godfrey. DH see's one of the practioners, and really likes him.
329-5000 is the number at Wake Urgent Care.... the guy practioner is OUTSTANDING there, I second Jen's hubby on that, can't spell his name....but I agree.
I know that the everyone in the office calls him Dr Ray. Couldn't begin to spell his last name if I tried. He is great.
Are y'all talking about the shortish (5'6" or so) Physician Assistant that looks like he could be from India? I can't think of his name but if that is who you're talking about, he is very good!
Yep, thats him, and he is easy on the eyes too. He always gives me free drugs, so I don't have to go get a prescription filled too.
Dr. Steven Turner @ Garner Internal Medicine. (919) 773-1223 . Dr. Turner is Board Certified in Internal Medicine. Excellent physician and great staff. James McCann is the best physician's assistant I have ever seen. James served in Iraq. Also Dr. Jeffrey Breiner and Dr. Karen Mayer, both Board Certified in Internal Medicine, are with this practice. The office is in the White Oak Shopping Center down behind Target.
We use Garner family physicians. Luckily we are pretty healthy and don't go too often, but the few times we have gone we have been happy.
See, I need to find a gyn. that's at least easy on the eyes cause I always leave the office thinking I should get paid not me paying him. Makes me feel like I was wronged ,thank god I only have to go once a year or I would bill him! LOL
Garner Internal Medicine takes Wellpath. I see Dr. Mayer and my husband sees Dr. Turner. We've been going there for years (even before they moved to White Oak). There's another doctor, but I'm not sure of the name. The PA is good, also.
The doctors are Karen Mayer, Steven Turner and Jeffrey Breiner... The PA for Turner - is James Mccain FNP's are Amy Mcalister and Cynthia Goodwin with the supervising MD for both being Mayer... there is one other lady that is a part time PA or FNP and her name is Cecielle Noel (spelling??) They also had someone start about a week or so ago under Breiner but I have no clue what her name is???? (forgot)
Dr. Gregory Pleasants at Garner Family Med is awesome. I love him! And, he's very easy on the eyes too!
How soon do you think I can get an appointment if I were to call tomorrow morning? I am afraid I have a stomach ulcer and I refuse to go to the doctor that I have now so I need a new one asap.
You could probably get an appointment with the PA or NP the same day. I've never had a problem getting in when I needed to see someone right a way. Then again, I'm an established patient. It wouldn't hurt to try though.
