My hubby and son were so UPSET yesterday. I felt bad for them, even though I'm not Cowboy fan.

 

If Romo had led the team to a win, there would have ben no questions concerning the trip to Mexico, or anything about Jessica. That they lost only feeds the vultures.

Even though the Packers would have had to travel to Dallas, I really wanted them to play in Lambeau top give us another IceBowl game...and it looks like the Giants will be up next.

You guys won't mind, will ya, if I pull for the Packers all the way...as I've been a fan since the 67, and the basement is decorated as Lambeau South, with all my Packers memorabilia.

KB, In my mind, this season will always be marked by their cheating. This is a "undefeated season with an asterisk" if I ever saw one. This is such an insult to the players who played their best, just to be painted by a coaches brush strokes.
For than reason alone, I have pulled against them every game, as I don't want their improper exploits rewarded.

Hoping for Ice Bowl Wx at Lambeau North..Lambeau South will feature the bar, the heat, and great eats....oyster roast going on during the game, brats, brew and cheese.

As I'm a Panthers fan it doesn't bother me one way or the other, but this "cheating" incident that everyone keeps trying to run into the ground, has been so blown out of proportion that it is not even funny. They were caught video taping during the first 5 minutes of the first quarter of the first game of the season. Tell me how this helped the Patriots to go on the 17-0 run that they have this season. It doesn't and what they were doing was not "illegal" last year as it is this year, so you can't even go back and say that since they did this time they must have been "cheating" in the past as it wasn't illegal in the past.


Where's that beating the dead horse icon when I need it.

Seems to me that the fines the NFL placed suggested something improper, that the coach knew it was improper, and that he did it with full awareness and complicity. That marks the low road. And I expect better. I do not cheer for cheaters. Too many people work hard and take the high road to have their own contributions diminished by those who do not.

 

As the rule was put in place at the beginning of the NFL season making it illegal to use non-NFL approved sideline cameras. It was against the rules. As this was and is a brand new rule for this year I can totally understand the fines levied against both Bill Belichek and the Patriots organization. However as I stated earlier due to when the event happened, the taping had not outcome what so ever in the feat the Patriots have accomplished this year, and in the manner in which they have done so. By putting an astrick on the team's accomplishments this year would be akin to penalizing every driver in Nascar just because Jeff Gordan was cheating using a non-conforming wing.

1. New rule or not, the NFL pace in adopting change is glacial. And not knowing about it offers no excuse. Coach was wrong, and his choices tainted the team,
2. By your logic of your last sentence, the NFL should have penalized every other team, when the Patriots were the ones caught cheating? Rethink this, Craig, as your analogy doesn't fit. NASCAR fined Gordon, as the NFL fined the Patriots and the Coach. Finet eh guilty, and make the fine sufficient enough "pour encourage l'autre's"

Actually my last statement was in comment in to how you are looking at the team and what they have done this year. By your own comments this is a season with an astrick because of what happened in the first 5 minutes of the first quarter of the first game. And that because the Patriots have come out this year and shown the rest of the NFL just how good they really are, and NFL fans such as yourself have to throw the astrick in there to make yourself feel better. By the thought process you are using Jimmy Johnson should have an astrick beside his championship from last year since he/his team were caught using non-approved equipment which equates to cheating in Nascar.
