Johnston County schools

    Just heard the schools are delayed 2 hrs tomorrow.

    well if it is in fact true, and they have called it already.....that's a sure fire way to know we won't have one bit of precipitation.:mrgreen:

    But right at this moment, Johnston Co. is not even included in the winter weather advisory according to the same website. Alrighty then, guess we are sleeping in tomorrow. 8)

    I just saw it on wral.com myself...I cannot believe they've delayed it already, with nothing on the ground!

    They did this last time too....and we got nothing....I guess its better to be safe than sorry....it IS going to be wet and it is going to be below freezing.

    I expect Mr. Parker's automated phone call any minute now....:p

    Those phone calls usually come about 6:20 pm at my house...

    for anyone who wants to know why they callit so early:

    The bus garage makes the call. They gte up on a normal day around 430 and get the buses ready for routes. The buses start going around 6 or so, at that time is when its the coldest and most dangerous. It is for the safety of the drivers and kids. Not nec. for the actual snow coming. (not being rude) They just take the precautions early because its hard to stop the routes and all once started if theres a problem.
