MUAH Grinder!!! You'll miss me...hehehe...ok ok...you'll miss the hubby LOL, but you can always come to our games since we did take a lot of the 9-10 good rec players.
Yep...yes you did but you are right...ill be there. You have one in particular that is a favorite ex-player of mine that i want to follow and see how they do.
Well its not yours <g>, sorry. Girl named Sara. Very good skill but not very aggressive and hoping this can pull that out of her...reminds me a lot of Heather B.
:::bump::: What: GCAA 2008 Spring Rec Soccer Walk-in Registrations When: Saturday, Jan 19, 2008 --- 9am - Noon Where: Ag Building (building behind gym) on GCAA complex Who: You will only need to stop by during one of the walk-in registration times if you need to pay with cash (please bring exact change) or check when you registered online or if we require a birth certificate for your child. We have some birth certificates on file. If we do not have one for your child then please bring a copy (not the original because we need to keep the copy that you bring). Additional Important Information: Online Registrations will continue until January 26, 2008. There will be no late registration (no exceptions). All registrations will be done via our website. (This is a direct link for soccer information and registrations: http://gcaasports.cmiregistration.com/default.aspx) During our walk-in registrations we will have a limited number of computers available for you to use to register your child to play using this same website. Our new registration system will allow you to register your child and at the end of the process you may pay with a Mastercard or Visa or you may select to "Pay In Person." If you choose to "Pay In Person" you will need to bring cash or check to the walk-in registration, failure to pay during a walk-in registration or by credit card online will result in your registration being cancelled and your child will not be able to participate this season. The registration process is not considered complete until payment has been received. We expect these walk-in registrations to be quite busy and recommend that you register ahead of time if at all possible.
Grindere - thanks for the info. I already registered but will pay in person next week. Do I need to bring the confirmation email I received, or just the cash?
Curious Grinder, I could not find the original article. I think it was WRAL or maybe the N & O. How much $$ did JoCo give to the GCAA?
http://www.gomcaa.com/newsarticle.php?newsid=5 the Greater Cleveland Athletic Association was allocated $375,000
Sorry chic, can't answer that one.... I can google "Johnston County Recreation Bond GCAA", but I can't answer that for ya. I know they have a new president, and that they recently signed a 20 year lease with the county, so that they could do "major improvements" (per the Jo Co website) maybe that would be a good question for him?
They are a priority, sure. However, this particular forum is not the place to discuss what the GCAA would be doing with the bond money they were allocated. You, and everyone else, are more than welcome to attend a Board meeting and you can ask all the questions about that that you like and get whatever answers you might need. Sorry but that is the best i can tell you.
Now we both know how concerned people are to actually SHOW UP at the board meetings...much less volunteer. Hats off to you guys and keep up the good work. But I do have to say....I'm glad to have my husband home more
STFU mnredsky. Seriously. This is about the 2nd or 3rd time you have made this same comment in regards to this topic. Does your arm ever tire of patting yourself on the back?
You can discuss the in's and out's and the day to day's of the GCAA all you want. They have an open door policy on all their Board meetings, as they are supposed to, and the general public is more than welcome to come at any time and ask any questions they like. Sorry, best i can tell you and i have said this over and over and over in the past and you know what? No one ever comes to the meetings. People scream all the time about wanting to know this and that...but they never make the effort to find out. You, Cleo, can go to a Board meeting at any time, and ask questions for 3 hours if you like. The Board members will sit there and answer them. Its that easy. Really.
Good for them!! For Cleo to assume I was talking of her and not just in general is exactly what it is a-s-s - u - me.
