Since I moved here to NC 4 years ago....and I am staying. I can not find anyone to do my eye brows right (wax, clean and make my eye brows even). My right brow is longer than my left so I know its needs some patience to get it right but I always feel that they rush and be done with.

I like them to be waxed, shaped and to last more than a month.

    Any suggestions

I have been going to ET Nails (behind Lone Star & beside The Dollar Tree) for 4 years or so. I have never once had any problems. Matter of fact, I have had several instances where people ask me where I get them done at because they have the same problem that you are having. An eyebrow wax up there runs $8.

Sorry Ro, I've never had a waxing, always used tweezers. MUCH cheaper! :)

No biggie...I do use a tweezer to clean up some but I can't wax or shape them myself.

I will try Et nails in a few weeks since I just got it done over the weekend.

I had it done............ONCE...................It looked awful. We need some eyebrows! That girl took nearly all of them off. Maybe I will try this place.

I've used the micro-wax you can get from Sally's Beauty. You have to have time to do them to get'em right. Other than that... I tweeze, tweeze, and tweeze some more.

I get mine waxed every now and then for a treat to myself...if you can call someone pouring hot wax on your hair and yanking it off a TREAT. It's more of a 'I don't have time to get it done right... so you do it for me' treat.

If she took them all you could have drawn them back in different colors. LOL

funny story... my mom has always tweezed her own eyebrows, she has very light brown colored hair, and "fine" eyebrow hair. She decided to go with a friend of hers and got hers done just for a little more arch in the shape. You know how skin has pretty good elasticity and bounces right back, well my moms skin around her eyes apparently has lost some of its elasticity over the years. It didn't bounce right back, and she had droopy looking folds of skin around her eyebrow area for a few days... I laughed so hard when she told me her experience with eyebrow waxing I almost peed my pants!!:mrgreen:

I have seen women remove all their eyebrows and then draw them on. I find it to be funny to look at. I would love to switch their eye pencil with hot pink or green. Give them the punk look. lol

To all the people who draw their eyebrows on...THAT TAKES SOME SERIOUS TALENT!

Granted some people look wild with drawn on eyebrows, but some people have some seriously steady hands to get them even and straight. Me, I leave it up to the natural growth of my brows. I don't have steady enough hands to do that kind of drawing.

On a similar note, do any of you wax your legs? I tried a home kit once. I got one strip done ............................never again! I'd rather have another baby.

On another board I'm on... some women who have moved here from other parts of the area, ask about Threading for eyebrow shaping/hair removal. Apparently its a very old form of eyebrow shaping, and it can be alot more precise in shaping. I've looked it up and there are some salons or spas in Raleigh and Cary that do it, but it looks painful to me to have them snapped out one at a time, and its more expensive. Looks almost as bad as the Epilady my mother bought me for Christmas one year, I tried it and swore she hated me and wanted to see me suffer!!

That is a video of "threading"

I actually get mine waxed by the woman at Star Nails, in the old Winn Dixie shopping center on 70 in Clayton (behind the McDonalds). She's always done a good job on mine, and I have one that doesn't always want to conform.

No but I heard my mother try it one time. I am ROFLMFAO just thinking about the memory of her scream.

She started at the top of her legs, Actually her inner thigh of all places.
I was about 12 years old and I can still see the wax residue on the wall and sink in the bathroom where the assault happened. And hearing the screaming, swearing, and all the crashing sounds from the other side of the bathroom door, I have chosen not to forgo leg waxing.

    They make stencils for that!

I hate to see women who shave them all off and do that, it's like they are stuck in the 60's.

On another note, if you have thin eyebrows you can use the stencil and fill in the blanks and make them look darker or thicker. There are actually some good products out there that make it look natural. http://beauty.hsn.com/signature-clu...&sf=bs&attr=147&ocm=4482|147&prev=hp!4482!147

I get waxed at that nail place in the LF's shopping center in Clayton or the one by Best Buy at White Oak.
