Anyone going to the film festival at The Clayton Center next Thursday? I've never been to one before and it sounds like fun. It's a mixture of short films--animation, documentaries, etc... Two of the films directors are going to be there for questions.
I just received the following information in an email from The Clayton Center (I signed up to be on their mail list from their website--no unnecessary emails so far just event notices). Free biscuits at the film festival and an afterparty at The Flip Side! Short Circuit Traveling Film Festival 12 films, 1 night What do New Orleans, Tampa, Atlanta and Clayton all have in common? They are all among the sites to host the Short Circuit Traveling Film Festival, featuring short films created by filmmakers living and working in the Southeast. After the screening, we hope you can make it for the official Film Festival After Party at The Flip Side www.thecoffeemill.com in downtown Clayton! Director Clay Walker is among the directors who will be present at the screening in Clayton to introduce his film and answer questions. The Film Festival is a prelude to The Clayton Center’s February 9 concert featuring Freddy Cole. General Admission to the festival is $2.50 however admission is free to individuals who purchase tickets to Saturday’s concert. Contact the box office for details.
Possibly, the town subsidizes most of the Clayton Center events, so I doubt it. I am acquaints with a lot of the folk at the Clayton Center, and unless someone got cute with the User name, it does not sound like anyone I have met. But in keeping with free advertising, there is a good chance that at least one family member will be there, it is cheap and looked interesting.
