Yes, she is in Ms. Tyler's class. She was very excited about getting to be Helen Keller and dressing up. I guess we had her looking fairly authentic by your description.
I didn't get a good look at her, there were so many kids to check out, but I did remember thinking she was dressed really well, and I was wondering where she found the clothes and shoes!
Thanks! The shoes were mine from the early 90s in Chapel Hill! They really aren't that much too big for her. The other stuff we pretty much had lying around except for the taffeta skirt I got from JCPenney for $4. I hated to miss that, I bet they were all so cute. Really like Ms. Tyler.
Here I am again...I thought I'd have 3 years before I'd have to do this, but my kindergartener needs to dress like Johnny Appleseed on Thursday! I can't remember how we made his hat, so I need to find my old photos from this past year. And my 5 yo is very picky about what he wears, he will not wear old clothes, or pants that don't fit him (I don't have any old jeans for him that fit him, just got rid of them all) so this should be fun. :ack:
