i know there are dental assistants and dentists that monitor this disussion board. apparently they: 1) rinse with a clensing solution 2) then use vizillite, a specially designed light technology 3) a suspicious lesion will be marked with t-blue, a blue dye and documented. they claim it is like a mammogram, psa test, pap smear. is this procedure legit? cost is $65. do dental insurance companies pay for this procedure?
I know Dr. R checks my tounge and gums I don't know what they charge because we send the bill to my ins co. note, they just look at it. I've never had anything else done, I don't think
According to this web site, the American Dental Association declined to give Vizilite its seal of approval. Also this page has a few links to more information.
