I'll have to try that. I know if I do not put salt in them I end up with some messed up looking eggs which dosen't go over well with deviled eggs.

Peel hard boiled eggs beginning at the pointy end. Also run them under cold water if hard to peel.

Most of what I read said to buy the eggs a day or more before you plan to boil them, because yes, older eggs peel easier. And the directions said to put them in ice cold water when they're thru cooking and that is supposed to make them easier to peel. Happy boiling :lol:

 

Yep, I do both of those. I usually buy them a week in advance, if I plan to boil them. I remember when I first got married, my eggs would tear all up. My Mom said, you silly girl, you're suppose to use 'older' eggs, every since no problems. :lol:

 

Eggs give me bad gas.

You ladies are making me look bad. When I want to boil eggs, I don't buy them in advance. If I have eggs when I want boiled eggs, I boil them. If I don't have any, we don't have boiled eggs. I used to be organized, I swear.

Never peel a boiled egg the hard way again.
1. Boil them
2. run cold water over them
3. put ice in the cold water and let sit a few mins
4. pour all the water and ice out and then shake the h-e-double hockey sticks outta the pot with them in it. Shake so they bounce into each other. Shake side to side then reverse, then pop them up and down. Not trying to kill them, just bumping the around good.

By the time you are done, I promise you will have almost every bit of shell off the eggs. Or all you will have to do is pick them up and gently massage and the shell will often fall off as a whole. The exterior will be all crackled but it will adhere to the membrane and just roll off.
