http://www.wral.com/news/local/story/2465417/ I'd probably be in jail right now if I were her!
Yes, I saw the previews this morning on the news - will be interesting to see the whole story......
way bigger woman than I....I would have stomped her narrow arse while throwing her out the front door.
I wondered what she must have said to the babysitter when she walked thru the door. I swear I would not have been able to contain myself.
I would call the law on my way there and warn them that if they did not escort her out of my home there would be a homicide.
I would have had to have the police escort me in and her out, because otherwise, I would have gone to jail.
I don't know if any of you read the GOLO pages on WRAL after the story, but I couldn't beleive what people were saying! A lot of them were blaming the MOM, saying she shouldn't have a job, she should be home with her kids where she belongs. And a couple were horrified by the fact she was at work watching this camera! First of all, who knows that she doesn't own her own business, or she wasn't on lunch break? Second of all, I'm a SAHM, but I know some people can't do that, and it doesn't make her a bad parent because she has a job! I couldn't believe people were blaming her, it's a crazy world! I don't think I personally would have called the police, but I definitely agree with her being fired. And from what I read online, there's even more to the story, the nanny was hanging the baby by it's clothes and threw him down on the couch...Very sad.
Actually, there are a few posters on here in the past that will have something moronic to say about a mom working. :? You have to do what is best for YOUR family and to heck with what anyone else says. I was always highly paranoid of leaving DS alone with anyone, right or wrong, I much preferred a regular licensed daycare, simply because there are other people around and I think it decreases the chances of something like that happening. You bring some stranger into your house, alone all day, and you just have to wonder. At least this mom DID install a nanny cam. No telling how long that crap would have gone on without it.
There are very few people I will allow to watch my kids, and I don't have family around to help me. I do have an older woman who comes to my home occassionally. Last week she was here, I got home earlier than I thought and listened to them all on the intercom (I have one in the garage). She was sitting on the bed with the two boys reading books, and they were having a blast! That made me feel better. I am more comfortable now that they are older, and 2/3 can talk, but when my oldest was a baby and before he spoke, I wouldn't leave him with ANYONE! You just never know these days who people are...even the "licensed" ones!
oh man, I just held my breath a few times when I was watching it..hard to believe that they couldn't or wouldn't press charges. Sheri
I, too, was astonished at what I saw. And to think that other woman has a child herself. My ex and I went through so much to have a child only to find out we just could not. That is why I adopted my daughter after our divorce. It always upsets me that while others, who I deem as undeserving, can have children and treat them whichever way I and others go through so much to have a child. While watching the video there were a few times that I felt like the child was going to fall on the floor. Grace
