How to compare BJ's Prices?

I've been thinking about comparing BJ's prices against regular grocery store prices, but they don't have everyday items/groceries on their website. Does anyone know a place online I can go to get their prices? If I can't find someplace online, I guess I'll just have to go and write down all their prices, but that sounds too much like work!

Also, I know they take coupons, but does anyone know if they offer in-store coupons anyplace?

They have coupons just as you walk in the door.

I've actually belonged for years, just never actually paid close attention to prices. Now that I'm working again, have less time for grocery shopping, so I thought if I could stock up and save money at the same time, that'd be great.

I knew about the coupons in the store, but they seem to be out every time I go in! And I don't get the flyers anymore in the mail, maybe they have the wrong address for me? I'll have to check! Anyplace online to get coupons from them?

yes they do, but the in-store ones they've offered in the past are even better. but like I said, I don't get the flyers anymore, so was just wondering if there was a place online I could get them. I did just find them on their website, where you can print them as long as you're a member. my membership expired last month, so I have to renew first, but you can view them on their site as well.

My biggest question was just how to compare their prices with others, but it seems like I'm going to have to go there in person to do that.

I did that a long time ago, went in and wrote everything down, they probably thougt I was a spy or something.
I don't really remember saving ALL that much. LF doubles up to .99 every day, so that where I get my savings now.

    Good Luck.

If you have the room to store and don't mind buying in BULK you can save money by price shopping at BJ's or Sam's but I don't know many people that have that much storage space at the home.

Actually, storage for me isn't a problem, having that much money to spend at one time for food we may not eat or things we won't use for a while is. I know certain things are very much cheaper there: garbage bags, milk, diapers, wipes, olive oil, gas. But my kids go through a lot of things for everyday lunches, snacks, things like that. And cereal, they can eat the same cereal for 2 weeks in a row if they like it enough! So I wanted to check out things like that, and some cleaners that I use every day. Guess I'll just have to check it out myself!

And Harley, I too love the double coupons at LF, but a lot of things are sooo expensive there, that I really only like to go when I have coupons to use, or if I just need a couple things, since it is just a mile from my house! (I love my new Lowes!)

While you're here, stop by and buy my house!

Actually, I just ordered a St. Joseph statue to bury in my yard. Legend has it, that will help with a home selling...it's worked before, so figured I'd try it again!

I heard that trick also but we went ahead and listed our house w/ www.century21clickit.com saved a boat load in realtors fees and had an offer in 2 days! eek!

Sorry other *realtors* on the board! We were not really *tring* to sell our house and wanted to keep all the money we could because I'm greedy! AND I didn't know some of you *realtors* at the time.

I don't know if anyone else cares about the price comparison, but if you do, I just wanted to let you know I did go to BJ's last night and get some comparing done. I checked their prices against LF on about 20 items, and they beat LF everytime! Meat prices were the best: baby back ribs are $2.99/lb at BJ's, and $4.99/lb at LF (and it's the same size rack). Ground beef was $1.50/lb cheaper as well. The other big savings were bread products - you can basically get 2 at BJ's for the price of 1 at LF. Anyway, I just thought I'd share my savings info with you all in case you were looking to save also. Their gas is a lot cheaper as well!

Have you ever been to Aldi? They are even cheaper than BJ's on about everything. Ex. a loaf of bread is only .69 at Aldi.

Yes I have. The only problem is, I'm never near an Aldi's, and because of time limitations I have to go wherever I am. But I do like Aldi's, and if I'm near one I do go there. It's also hard to find time to load my own groceries into bags when I've got 3 kids with me!

I'm a member at BJ's and I love it. I get meat, cleaning supplies, toiletries, garbage bags, TP, paper towels, coffee, and butter there, among other things here and there. I find it to be convenient and cheap. Their meat is the best, and anything I've tried of the Berkley Jensen brand is great, so don't think it's too generic to buy. If you're a coffee drinker, the Berkley Jensen coffee is the red bag (Costa Rican I think) is the best. I'm quite a coffee snob and I love it.
