As referenced in one of the threads...

    I'd highly recommend

Custom Sew 1140 Benson Rd, Garner. 662-8770
    Linda Page -seamstress

    She did my wedding dress!

I had good experience with Custom Sew up until last year around this time. I went to pick my dress up 2 days before prom (teachers have to attend as well) and she had forgotten to do it. After having a heart attack, she promised me it would be ready the next day (the day of prom). I got there and it was closed. I called every number on the windows around 10 times each and finally sat out in the parking lot and had a good cry! Good thing because she finally showed up....a good 30 minutes late. I go pick up my dress and my amount is $15 higher than I was quoted but what was I supposed to do?? I had to have it. I got home and was having hubby zip me up that evening and something wasn't right. It was a 3 layer skirt and the layers had all been hemmed different lengths!!! They were ALL still too long as well...and SHE is the one who pinned me at the shop. Yep...tears again! So, I hiked the top of the skirt up to my boobs and work it right underneath my bra line all night....talk about flippin' uncomfortable! SO, at this point, I cannot recommend that place. :(

I've used Ho's Tailor Shop in Garner. In the forest Hill Shopping Center. Actually, the strip mall right next to Forest Hills (not sure if it considered the same), by 95 nails etc. Have done many flower girl, bridesmaids and cocktail dress alterations over the years. Have always been satisfied and they are pretty quick.
