My sister got her bridesmaid dresses from there. It seemed to be a little hectic in there. Most of the staff is friendly, but don't trust the measurments they do. Ours were way off. I specifically remember telling the lady she had mine wrong, all she would say is trust me, I know what I am doing. When the dress came back, 3days before the wedding, two weeks late, the sizing was horrible. With so little time, my Mom had to re-alter them herself. Other than that, the do have some nice dresses at resonable prices.
I can second that... I've had 2 dresses from there. But in their defense... other places that I've bought BM Dresses from haven't gotten my sizes right either. I have yet to meet a girl that has a BM Dress that fits them correctly... all shapes and sizes.
i went there for my wedding dress. i was very disappointed with the service. when i entered the store the staffed made me feel as if i interupted and intruded in on their conversation. i asked the sales person where the wedding dresses where and she pointed and told me to go to the other side - i did, looked, waited for someone that would " try " to help me and when i walked out they looked puzzled. i hope you have better luck and congrats to you
I remember looking there also, and the women were less than helpful. I ended up at Davids Bridal out on Capital @ the 401 split. Those women were wonderful to work with, and I got a great wedding dress for $300. I walked out of there for less than $500 and that was dress, corset, shoes & jewelry & alterations. My only advice is, call and make an appt if you go to Davids. Even if you are just going to look, call and make an appt. They will set you up with a bridal consultant who will be more than helpful.
Actually any bridal boutique worth a dern only accepts appts for trying on dresses. That might be why Carolina is such a not-so-friendly boutique.
i went there last week to pay for dresses for a friend of mine who was sick (and I wasn't thrilled, because I really, really don't like places like that - the salespeople generally feel like vultures). Dealt with a salesperson named Connie who was an absolute doll, she was so absolutely friendly... I liked it better than when I went with David's Bridal....
when i went shopping for my bridal dress and bm's i always called and only a handfull of shops required an appointment. carolina bridal was not one of them they told me i could come on in when it was good for me. apparently that should have been my que.
We, and yes, I mean we, went to Carolina Bridal for C6's wedding dress and DDs dress. Granted this was 4 years ago, but the service was excellent. We did not wait until the last moment to check for fittings.
I got my dress there, and although the selection wasn't as great as I'd hoped, I got a lovely dress for a decent price. Didn't have to have it altered, so I don't know about that. But I did put a deposit on it and had them hold it for a couple of weeks, without realizing I would need it steamed to get the wrinkles out. Don't forget about that; they will take care of it for you, but you pay and they didn't mention it to me until the last minute. I know, I should have thought about it myself, but I had a lot on my mind. Hatteras, I may be mistaken, and if so sorry, but if you were referring to this post, I think she says she didn't wait till the last minute; it was the store's fault. I can see how that would happen. There's a couple of nice people there, and a couple of rude loser chicks.
Fairly good prices but the ladies there are very snobby! Bought my daughter her prom dress there a few years ago and nobody even spoke with us. We had to do everything ourselves. Same daughter just was a bridesmaid in a wedding and when we went to pick up the BM dress, again they were of no help. But, it is an outlet store so I guess that's the type of service to expect.
We went there to rent Tux's for my two young boys when they were in my SIL's wedding...They were rude when they realized we weren't buying anything. Then, when I went to pick them up, I was told I'd have to go to a store in Raleigh to get them because they "hadn't come in" on the truck that day...no refund, no paying for gas to get to NORTH RALEIGH, not to mention the time to get there. I was told they'd have a new truck come in on Monday. This was on Thursday, we were leaving on Friday, and the wedding was Saturday. Go figure. The manager was just as rude and basically told me to either go get the tux's myself or do without and no refunds on rentals.
We went there for my SIL's wedding about 2 years ago and they were absolutely horrible!! It was so packed in there you couldn't get to anything, they didn't have all dresses in all sizes so you couldn't really figure out if the style would look good on us. Most of the dresses they did have were small sizes too so we couldn't even try one on that was bigger than what we needed. We asked to see a catalog and you would have thought we were asking them for the moon. I have not stepped foot in there since and I never will.
just another store to throw in There is Victorian Rose Bridal in downtown Raleigh. Various Prices, service seems good, alterations on site. Owner makes sure you are happy.
