I guess since the dogs are standing at the back door barking they aren't liking the thunder but I thought I better let them out one more time before the rain comes! So do we put on our winter jackets and run around singing "Let it snow Let it snow Let it snow"?
Hey, all you guys who are sitting at the computer typing away during a thunderstorm. You do understand that, unless you have some heavy-duty surge protectors (as in, not from Wal*Mart, and professionally installed), your just asking to be royally zapped. No, I'm not talking about the little sting when you kiss your sweetie on a dry day. I'm talking about the smell of buring flesh (at the least). If you hear thunder, you should turn off your computer and monitor (to be totally safe, you should unplug them as well).
Just reminding you. It's been said here on many occassion that "You can't fix stupid". Just making sure you aren't trying to find out if God will fix it for you.
Yeah, still gotta work and get paid tho. Working with as minimal amount of electricity as possible. Have already (previously) had the house struck with lightning and blew out several ports on a router (as well as several other appliances)
Ugh! Right before my husband and I sold our last house in July lightning struck our house...I'm talking it struck on a Monday and our close was on the following Friday....Blew out 3 GFCI outlets, took out 2 TV's, my garage door opener and put a 2 inch hole in the wall! I don't mess with lightning!!!
Yeah, helluva way to learn, isnt it? I dont just turn things off ... I run around and make sure everything is unplugged.
