I've done a lot of research in the past for Disney prices, and from what I can tell, they don't offer any discounts on park tickets. Anywhere. The last time we bought ours, I got them from the Disney store at Crabtree. You could always try Craigslist or Ebay, but I always worry they're going to be fake, and I'll get there and find out and have to buy tickets again.

We are going around the same time frame and have searched high and low for discounted tickets with no luck. The cheapest I have found them is on Ticketmania.com, but they are only cheaper if you are staying a week. Good Luck and let us know if you find something.

This is going to sound a bit off the wall...

There's a place on I-95 at exit 150 which says they sell Disney tickets at discount prices. I'm not sure what the deal is, but they've been around for at leat ten years, so it can't be too bad of a scam.

We are actually headed to Disney this weekend :) Woo-Hoo but I did not buy the tickets so I cannot tell you where they came from.

I know I've seen those signs before too. I always assumed it was a time-share thing, like stay at our resort and listen to a speech for 2 hours and the tickets are yours? But I've never looked into it...

If it is, then you have to decide what your time is worth to figure out if it's a deal. Unless, of course, you're like my son and have no will power to say "No" after the spiel.

I just got my free dvd for disney. I think we have decided not to go to disney but to universal studios and epcot. I am excited after seeing the rides at Universal.

We are doing Magic Kingdom, Sea World and Animal Safari. Passed on MGM and Epcot. Gotta prioritize!!!

Thursday is the wife's B-Day and we are having lunch with Cinderella at her castle :)

Aw, that's so cool! My hubby and I both LOVE disney world, and go every 2 years or so. We'll be going next January and can't wait. We've never stayed at a Disney resort though, and would like to. Unfortunately they don't seem to have that great of reviews online. Has anyone every stayed at one that has some input? We have a family of 5, so the value resorts are out, we're looking at the moderate resorts if we do stay at one. Another option is we might rent a nearby house (vacation rental) since we've got a big group going with us, it might end up cheaper!

Please let us know how your trip was when you get back!

They do not have 2-day hoppers for the general public. Minimum is 3-day. For just 2 days, you would have to just buy 2 single day tickets, and you cna't buy those ahead of time nor are they discounted.

Undercovertourist.com is a good place to buy online at a discount. If you go to mousesavers.com and sign up for Mary's newsletter, you can get a discount off UCT's prices.

For Sea World, if you sign up for Southwest Airline's Rapid Rewards program, you cna get 20% off your ticket at the gate.

    Just got back....

We just got back from 9 beautiful days at Disney-we had such a good time. For those that are interested-we stayed at a house just a few miles (about 10 min) from the main gates and were really happy. 5 bedrooms (2 families) and a heated pool, w/d, and pool table/fuse ball. Put the kids to bed at 8 (they were ready) and the adults had some social time. Much better to me than a small hotel room where everyone is cramped and we cooked our own supper (OK some nights).

The best way to enjoy Disney I think is to have a plan-what to do 1st, 2nd, get fastpasses etc. With kids this eliminates alot of the wait and gets the most done. This was our 3rd trip and still had so much fun!

I would be happy to email a link to the house to anyone who wants it or just post here. Have a good time!

I don't think your house would be big enough, we're probably going to have 13 people. But could you tell me what neighborhood it's in? I've been looking on vrbo.com and notice a lot of them are in the same neighborhood, but can't remember what it was called. Emerald Pointe maybe? Anyway, they say they're just 3 miles away, just curious how accurate that is. I don't mind a 10 minute drive, just don't want much more than that. I'm so excited though, love, love, love Disney! And we thought a house would be 1. cheaper and 2. more fun for the reasons you listed. The kids would have a whole house to play in, game room, pool, and all the adults can hang out after the kids go down. Also, how much was parking at Disney? And did you find any good places to eat, in or out of Disney? Thanks for any help! (if you want to pm me instead of posting all that here, that's fine)

We went in September and stayed at Disney's Coronado Springs.

We LOVED it!!! The pool was super. The hotel grounds were so well landscaped. The rooms were clean.

There were only two things that we did not like. First, the building design is kind of weird and it took us a while to learn which walkways lead to the elevators for our building. Second, we had to leave :)

I've had several people report good experiences with the value resorts. However on three separate occassions during our trip we met people who asked for their reservations to be transferred from a value resort to Coronado Springs. Each reported the room they had at the value resort was not clean. I was glad we decided to spoil ourselves a bit and stay at a moderate resort.

After living in FL for more than 20 years, we're familiar with Disney stuff. We used to go to Disney 5x a years and stayed at many different resorts, away and inside Disney area. For lodging, it's really all depends on what kind of lodging you're looking for.

Our favorite resort is Disney Fort Wilderness resort as we love to camp there. Kids love to roast their marshmallow with Chip and Dale along while watching outdoor Disney movie. We got to hop on the boat and they take us to any park. We enjoyed going to HoopDeeDoo Revue dinner show at the campground.

For outside of Disney park, my kids LOVE Nickelodeon Hotel. They got so much activities for kids, especially poolside.

Beware of the discount ticket outlet. They are rip off. Here's how it work: they buy tickets from people who went to Disney park who haven't use all of their day passes. For example, I bought one 3-days park hopper and for some reason, I only went for 2 days. The discounter want to buy the ticket from me for, like about $40 dollars, because the ticket is still good for one day left. After the discounter bought the ticket from me, he re-sell it to public for more money than what he originally paid for ($40). He probably would sell it to public for $60. Disney sell $70. Most of the time, Disney printed your name on the ticket (ticket now looks like a credit card) so you'll be wasting your money if Disney ask for your driver's license to see if the name matched on the ticket. I strongly urge you to stay away from them. People got ripped off from them. It's on newspaper many time.

We are going to Disney Cruise this Fall. Yippeee!

We went to Nick Hotel 2 years ago, but at $300/night, can't really afford it. The food wasn't that great either, but it was definitely fun. Unfortunately it was a short trip, so we didn't really get to enjoy it as much as we should have (for the price!)

If you sign up for their mailing list, they send out special discount code that you can use for the room. Most of the time, we got it for $110 per night for two bedrooms suite. The foods are great for kids but not for adults, in my own opinion.
