Me too, with my Lowe's Foods brand block mozzarella. For 50 cents less than pre-shredded, I can grate it myself. :)

I'll agree Primavera is good pizza... but they do not cook it in a brick oven... they use a regular pizza oven. There is a noticable difference if you've ever been able to compare the 2.

    Yep they are good.

My best friends are getting ready to have a brick oven built on their back yard patio. I can't wait to cook some fresh homemade pizza's in that thing.

After reading this thread yesterday, I decided to order some Grand Street Pizza tonight. They're delivering in about 1/2 hour, I'll let you know how it is. I forgot to ask for the price on the phone (duh) and I didn't have a menu to order from, so hope it's not too out of this world!

On the phone they told me within 7 miles. I live at 50/42 and it wasn't a problem. It was $15 for an 18" pizza, but they didn't tell me over the phone that they don't take credit card. I don't know what they would have done if I didn't have cash (I normally don't but tonight I did). The pizza was actually really good. A couple things to comment on from other's posts...It was salty, not sure why, think it was the cheese. It wasn't terrible, but I did notice that. The pepperoni was the same as any pepperoni I've ever had. I don't know if that other person went on a day they were trying something new, or if they got the wrong thing or what, but this was just plain old, every day pizza pepperoni. Anyway, it was good. I didn't get anything else, so can't comment on the rest. But it's good, large, thin crust pieces of pizza.

Well I have seen the Roma trucks leaving La Piazza, so i know they are your supplier for some of your goods. I just didnt know what brand of cheese you favored for your pizzas. It's ok if you don't want to reveal that.

well there u go take it from there. However, the cheese brand name is not going to help any. It is how everything comes together, & if you use "real" products. If you use processed produts you have different tastes. Using real mozzarella that we shred ourselves makes all the difference. Real mozzarella you can "string" apart. I am a chef by trade. I know there is no comparison between us. Our chef & our recipes or not the same. Please let all this go. You will never be La Piazza & we will never be a Marco's. So it really does not matter what our brand is or who or trcuk is (yes of course it is roma) it is not Us Food Service or Ferraros. If we both wanted to be the same then we would have & have done things exactly the same way & then what would be the point.

Each of us has our own way of doing things & you as a restaurantaur should know this by now. Honestly, I thought you would have enough common sense to figure it out.

I mean you even state you like Ruby's & as a corporate rest. they do not all taste the same & they should in the matter they are all trained the same way but they don't

You must be out pretty early in the am to know what truck delivers to us. I mean real early. Next time stop by & say HI. I would love to meet you as you have so much experience with foods.
