My DD said she just passed a fire truck heading towards 42 while traveling on 50 but that was all she saw, no rescue squads or anything.

The other day I was on 42, and saw a car with a woman in the front seat holding a child (probably 3 or 4) in her lap. HOLDING THE CHILD IN HER LAP IN THE FRONT SEAT WITH NO SEATBELT ON! How stupid can a person possibly be????

My 8 yo sometimes rides to school with our neighbors, and one time he came home, and proudly stated that they didn't have to wear their seatbelts to school! I almost died! I then told him, no matter what anyone else in the car does or tells you, YOU ALWAYS HAVE TO WEAR YOUR SEATBELT! What I don't understand is they make their 4 yo and 7 yo sit in a booster seat...if you don't have a seatbelt on, what difference is that gonna make?

I just don't understand some people...
