The old one sold some parrots, small animals as well..no dogs or cats. It has been a good two years since I have went in there. I'm just looking for some place local that caters to parrots more, I use to drive to Durham to a parrot store there, but then found it more cost effective to just order online for most of my stuff. It has been my one of my dreams to open up the ultimate Parrot store like I knew up North when I lived there for 3 years. Which I could do it. Sheri
I understand what your saying and a lot of places shouldn't sell puppies or kitties and totally agree. But, why would parrots and/or small animals be sold either???? Sheri
This is probably about as inconvenient as Durham but I know a good breeder in Wendell who sells toys, cages, and food.
What le is saying is that we hope that the new owner doesn't get the pups or kitties from a backyard breeder, instead - go to the shelter pick out a couple and adopt them out at her store. (just like the 35 other rescue groups do)
Holly said they plan to have "adoption days" with the shelter, I think, or maybe local rescue groups.
I knew who she is lol, I have a yahoo parrot group that I have had now for 4 years now..so a lot of bird breeders, rescues and just pet owners in NC are on my group. I met some really special people on there. Sheri
Yep yep! KDS, I sure hope so. I was at the shelter yesterday. The things they have done down there are just wonderful!
