Man Charged With Getting 12-Year-Old Pregnant

Fayetteville, N.C. — A Harnett County man was charged Monday with impregnating a 12-year old girl, authorities said.

Jonathan Alexander Wiley, 26, of 2882 River Wind Drive, was charged with three counts of first-degree statutory rape and one count of raping a person under the age of 13 years old. He was being held in the Cumberland County Detention Center under a $100,000 bond.

Investigators said Wiley began a relationship with the alleged victim at her home about a year ago.

I wouldn't blame the 12 yo at all...more than likely, she has parents that never taught her right from wrong, that's not her fault. OR her parents didn't pay any attention to her, so she went and did this to rebel. Either way, if she was being raised properly, with attention, respect and all the other things parents are supposed to be teaching, this wouldn't have happened. I blame the parents, the molester, but not her!

Cumberland County Sheriff’s investigators said Wiley allegedly began his relationship with the victim at her home sometime between March and April of 2007. Warrants said Wiley allegedly had sex with the girl at least 12 times during that period, impregnating her. He then allegedly resumed sex with her again in October or November when she was 13 and eight months pregnant. Wiley is being held in the Cumberland County Jail on $100,000 bond.
