    Yeah, was just asking.....

I cant say that I have ever heard of a restaurant closed on mondays.

I have NO problem with someone having a day off. Seems like they'd have some sort of rotating staff so that everyone would get a few days off during the week, or on the weekend. When I used to work @ a motorcycle shop we'd have Monday off since we had to work Saturday. Sunday and Monday was our weekend, so I understand.

I just went to 2 cousins, they were open and it was pretty darn tasty :p

PS, my wife is Italian, from Boston, you go there and try to find a CLOSED Italian restaurant on Monday. Not gonna happen.

Just a note of interest.... Growing up in Clayton, just about all the merchants closed their doors on Wednesday afternoon. Do not know how or when it started, do not remember when they stopped. Best I remember the practice was probably "phased out' during the 70's, as more businesses tended to keep longer hours. i suppose one by one they just stopped doing it.

Grabbed a ham calzone to go for lunch today. No way they're gonna be able to stay in business packing that much ham and cheese into that large a calzone. Great taste. Good service. Next up..lasagna...
Glad you folks are close by....

Same thing occurred in many parts of the country, I was told this was so you could attend church midweek.

When I lived in Columbus county (Whiteville, Tabor City, Chadbourn area) if stores were closed on a Wednesday afternoon is was because they went fishing! 8)

Of course according to the episode "Homer Loves Flanders", Moe's Tavern always closes on Wednesdays, as Moe performs charity work by reading to the homeless at the same refuge where Flanders serves soup.

Its so interesting that people have such strong feelings one way or another - its like the 4042 Pizza Wars. We've eaten and Marcos and liked it. We've eaten at Piazza and liked it. Just ordred from Grand Street - cause they deliver and I don't feel like going out in the rain. Read everyone's posts and can't wait to check it out myself. The person who answered the phone was very nice and my pepperoni, mushroom and onion pizza should be here in about 45 minutes - so, I'm going to open the wine and since I've been working or working out all day (on a Saturday) - I'm going to turn on the ACC and wait for my pizza.
