Does anyone here post on a medical forum?

I have nerve damage in one of my arms and I am trying to understand it better. Yes, I have a medical Doc, but I just would like to be able to post a question and have possibilites discussed. Perhaps to even find others with this same problem since my situation is a bit out of the ordinary?

I'm experiencing much pain and it is getting worse. Doc already has me on meds. The next step is pain management and narcotics :? so I'm wanting to do some research.

Just wanted to say thanks for the info to all of you. I've posted on a couple of medical forums this week and I'm hoping to get some response and possible info/help soon.

Do you have diabetes? Diabetes causes nerve damage if left untreated (uncontrolled diabetes).

    many questions

Has your Doctor refered you to a Neuro sergon?
Has he/she done a heart cath or EKG? at the least.
Where is the nerve damage comming from . have you an illness or have you had trauma? or have Back injuries?
There are to many questions just that would get very personal. I sugust that if you are not quite satisfied with what your Doctor is doing or worst yet Not doing. You Most defantly need a second opinion. I hope you get the correct answers that you are seeking. altough this would only be a speculation of opinions from many people that have no degree in the medical feild. You realy should seek an alternitive decision. preferably a professional one. Good luck friend .hope you get well soon.

Diabetes is no speculation of opinion. It is a FACT that it causes nerve damage if left untreated.

    true

Yes you are very correct on this fact.
But I did not read that the person requesting the information state anything about being diabetic. I have 2 family members that have the same problem with their diabetic control and the pain and agony that it causes. I understand where you are coming from. But the person requesting the info. Really needs to speak with another Doctor. Especialy if they are not getting the results they are expecting.

Exactly, Second Opinions are important, even a 3rd opinion if you are still not sure.

I have found it helpful to have discussions with other people who have similar issues. Surely, the doctor's opinion, and an independent second opinion from another doctor, are important. But sometimes it's good to discuss things with lay people who have gone through or are going through the same things you are. It's not a substitute for medical advice.
