Dana is great and they have a buddy special too, where if two sign up together it is $19.99 a month for a year each. Went before i broke the bones last year and wish i was closer during the day to go again. She got rid of the tanning beds:shock: Oh yeah, tell Dana i sent ya and that i miss going up there.
I second Fit for life. If body contours doesn't work out for you give them a try. Stay away from Peak Fitness in Clayton. Going downhill lately.
Its around $25 a month! If you join w/ a friend and have a coupon (I can hook you up), it's around $20.
I understand that Peak doesn't have a regional manager right now so the gyms are being left to themselves. Too bad.
How about instead of joining a gym you just come over and clean my house once a week? I HATE housework!!!
Bumping this because I am tired of walking around the block. Any of these have childcare during the day? Or anybody know of a good place for a nice long hilly walk - wagon accessible?
The hours for childcare fit in with my schedule... I don't get up early! Tit have you signed up yet? We could join as friends. Let me know.
I've gone to Body Contours for a little while when we first moved in. You will enjoy it. In fact I'm thinking of joining again. Didn't continue due to job and some illness. All is well now and thinking of seriously joining. Nice if you have a friend to meet there or to go there with. Ro
find a new doctor that is shocking to me that a doctor would be so insensitive but back to your original question about a gy. Body Contours is good especially if you don't want to feel self conscious, I too started with a lot of weight to lose and never once have felt uncomfortable there. I have switched to fit for life simply because I feel I get more for more money and it's a nicer facility, taken care of a lot better and they are really great too I think either would be a good choice, I would ask for a week trial which most gyms will give you and try them both out to see which you like best.
I love Fit For Life. The people that work there/own it are great, very friendly, are always cleaning it, and it's never crowded. They do have daycare, but the hours could be better. Only 5-? in the evening and 9-11 on Saturday mornings, but you can take your kids in when no one is in there if they're well behaved, hubby says he's seen kids in there before just playing with toys, video games, whatever, during the off hours. I've never done it, but others have. I wouldn't recommend it for babies or if your kids are wild though!
I love fit for life. I did a week free at Body Contours. Very friendly staff but the week I was there I saw a lot of broken equipment and it just didn't seem very clean or well maintained so I joined Fit for Life. Fit for Life has a wonderful staff, very clean, nice equipment and plenty of it and the other members are great too. I would highly recommend. I think it's good to do a trial you get the same things pretty much where ever you go it's just where you feel the best. Good luck!
