I was looking for somewhere to go with my soon-to-be 6 yr old daughter for her b-day. I don't know if I will have an actual party there or just her and I go for some quality mother/daughter time. Has anyone been recently for a similar thing? How was it? If just the two of us go, will there still be special things like dress up, etc. like I saw on their website?
I didn't go for a party but went for Saturday lunch about a month ago. The chicken salad is to die for!
I went with a friend in November and they had boas and hats out-we opted not to dress up. The food is great and so is the flavored tea. I think you would like it even if it was just the two of you.
DD, a friend & I went in February. I thought it was reasonably priced. It's basically a set price for lunch and you can choose what you want. Tea by the cup is more expensive than by the pot. They do have boas and hats out if you want to put them on but it's optional. Some moms and daughters are thinking about going in a few weeks. We're looking forward to it. The bakery is nice too.
So this is like a dressup tea party place? Might be fun. I think I have a coupon. Thanks for calling attention to this place Devious Angel. )
You can dress up if you want. It's not required. But it would be fun to dress up with the little ones. A friend of mine went and they dressed up with their own stuff, feather boas and tiaras.
Cleo, you sound like you are such a good Mom. I know you and your girls must have such fun together. I miss my girls being that age now. Now I have a teen and a tween and then the two boys. I miss barbies and dress up and pretend lipstick and boas. Only saving grace for me is that my tween DD is a one of a kind and she still will take a feather boa and wear it all day in the yard while playing barbies with some of the younger girls in the neighborhood. I think I'll buy her a new boa soon  You enjoy EVERY second of dress up fun that you can grab with them. Goes by too fast.
Ho hummmmmm.... Makes me want a little girl!!!!!:?.......... Hmmmm...another baby after 2 boys in 1 year.........NOT!!!!! Naw...seriously....it would be nice to have a little girl but my boys are fun to play in the dirt was and I was always sorta tomboyish:jester:
I know whatcha mean. Had my middle two exactly 18 months apart. In other words, when DD#2 was 9 mo, I was pregnant again with DS#1  Yes, it was intentional. What were we THINKING? No, really, it WAS hard for a while. But I'm glad we did it that way. And just when I thought I was coming up for air, DS#2 decided to reveal his intentions about a year before we were expecting him to. But they all are such a blessing. I'll never forget that barely walking DD of mine sitting in a chair with a paci in her mouth after DS#1 was born and patting her lap saying "sit me" over and over to get us to let her hold her baby brother. It was a baby holding a baby. So sweet. And as toddlers, she would put him in a toy grocery buggy and wheel him all over the house, both of them sporting pacis. Then there were the ride on trucks that make the loud wheel noise. How many times was I in the kitchen cooking and dodging both of those two on there trucks racing each other through the house and the kitchen. Ahhhh....the precious memories. Shar, you wait a bit and then try for that girl. You need a female alli in the house to keep the boys straight:mrgreen: I must say I feel incredibly blessed to have 2 girls and 2 boys. I get to experience the sister bond, the brother bond and the sister & brother bond between all of them. It is amazing to watch them relate to each other.
Yes, my two are 11 1/2 months apart, how I survived.....don't know but did  I don't know about that girl though8) Thank goodness I have two neices!!
A friend and I went there a couple of weeks ago. Lunch was OK. We tried the desert. It was baked by the inhouse bakery. It was bad. Our server came back and advised they were not charging for the dessert. If we go back we will pass on the dessert. Just drive east on US 70 to Cleveland Bakery. They have the best desserts in the area.
Wow! What an attitude. 10 posts. I read them all. You are a music teacher. Own a Jack Russell. The only postive post I could find was about your dog. Other Posts: "we are all just idiots" "a few bad seeds" "stupid people" I bet you are a belly full of laughs to be around. So do you have any recommendations for dining in Clayton? Maybe something positive?
What happened to all of Devious Angels posts. There were 10 now there is only 1. Strange. At least most of them were quoted by other people so we know they did exist.
