    In reviewing the Garner zoning site ... looks like Rite Aid is going to build at hwy 50/Timber where the Hardees and convenience store were.

    ================
    Lowes Foods on Timber is looking to add a "gas kiosk"

    ++++++++++++++++++

    Town of Garner is looking to add a "Nature Center and Park Facilities" at the intersection of Aversboro and Buffalo. I think this land is currently being used for soccer fields. It is at the intersection where you turn left onto Aversboro to go to the entrance of Lake Benson Park.

    So I am guessing the Rite Aid that is in the Food Lion shopping center will be shutting down?:confused:

    That is my guess. But isn't there a free standing store that use to be Eckerd not far up Timber heading toward hwy 70?

    Yes there is. But it seems to me that we can't have enough pharmacies around here...:?

  5. Does anyone know when Timber drive is suppose to be built from Rte 50 to White Oak?

    I was looking for those details but could not find any dates. There seems to still be a plan to do so though. Some of the land owners there are seeking rezoning for future commercial development.

    I also heard next year the McDonalds at that intersection will build a new building in the lot next to where the current McDonalds is then tear down the old one.

    now thats a good idea....that particular McDonalds, has the best drive thru service and the best inside service, but their 'space' is tired and outdated. It definitely needs a 'facelift'.

  8. I wonder if the developers of White Oak are waiting for Timber Drive to come through before they start the next phase of construction.

    That is what I heard all along. The developers wanted that road done or started before the next phase gets going.
