Ron's Barn has the best buffet. Only thing is I have to bring my own ketchup. I only eat Heinz and they have some yucky mess of Hunts.
The best buffet I've had in NC is the one in Lumberton...can't remember the name but it's right off the exit to the right if you're heading south. A lot of famous people have been there. Anyone else been there?
LOL, I miss Ron's barn in Sanford. When we lived down there that was always our eat out spot! When we go visit my Mom we try to hit it.
I wouldn't waste the money.. it was overpriced for a buffet. DH and I went just to try it when they first opened.. I spent almost $30 for 2 buffets, 2 drinks and tip, and wasn't nearly that impressed with the food. I'd have been just as happy with the fried chicken and bbq from Smithfields for 1/2 the price.
FULLER'S??? Grease pit of the world??? They have one in Fayetteville now that is even greasier than the one in Lumberton. Down that way in Elizabethtown is THE FRONT PORCH. Haven't been there in a couple of years but they used to have a great buffet.
I love Fullers. I grew up around the area. My mom knew the family. Love the food. I try to take my mom out for lunch there whenever I am home.
Is it in (or near) some hotel that's in Lumberton, right off the interstate? If it's the same one I'm thinking of, OMG...the food was the best! The last time I ate there is going on 20 years ago--and I still remember it. We were passing through on our way to Pennsylvania and stopped for dinner. Yummy!
I ate there once when they first opened and had lipstick all over the rim of my Ice Tea glass (No it wasn't my shade)! Only times I have been back is if my wife and her coworkers were eating there and I was in town.
Are you thinking about CHASON'S that used to be near Lumberton (little town of Lumber Bridge). It burned down about 10 years ago, but before that had the best country buffet ever!! They tried reopening in Fayetteville, but it was never the same as the original.
Town and Country is pretty good! It is buffet. Located on 301 hwy coming out of Benson and going towards Dunn on the left. Looks like a hole in the wall, but it is pretty good!!! I LOVE their dessert selection.
