I'm not much into politics nor into political discussions but to me it seems like it is working.

Is it worth giving up the right to vote in your own party's primary for candidates for governor, lt. gov., member of congress and state legislature, just to make trouble for the opposite party?

No, I think you should have the right to vote in your own states primary, however KD, I am seeing them as doing it to themselves:? The "other" side is just pointing out the obvious.

I'm not sure I understand your point. Rush is telling Republicans to vote for Hillary (primarily to keep the Dems fighting among themselves, I think if Hillary had the lead in delegates he's be telling them to vote for Obama). But when you vote in a primary election, you get a ballot for one party or the other. You could not vote for both Hillary for president and say, Fred Smith for governor, because they're not on the same ballot. So there is a cost to stirring up trouble for the other side, and I'm wondering if it's worth giving up the right to help choose the candidates for your own party.

Agree with you KDs. If you were in a state with no US Senate or Gubernatorial primary, it might be worth it. But when you have multiple races that you should be concerned with, think very few informed voters will make that switch. Of course Rush didn't have much luck picking out the GOP nominee, so guess he has to make it seem he's influencing something these days.

Sorry KD, maybe I am thinking more about the general election in November.....also listening to Rush last week he was stating that some of the Dems themselves are VERY PRO Obama or PRO Hillary, thereby refusing to vote for the other and thereby voting for McCain in November.

It just seems that the in party fighting is getting so bad they are just hurting themselves at this point regardless of what "Operation Chaos" is doing that is all I meant. I do totally understand your point though of it ruining the chances to choose your State nominees.

That's my greatest concern as a Democrat about this process going on so long, and both candidates and their supporters being so fiercely competitive. I can only hope we will be able to come together behind the nominee of the party, whoever that is.

    YMMV ;)

This has been going on for years, it's nothing new.

If there are no pledges to sign or laws to break I don't have a problem with an individual doing this, maybe unfair, but if you absolutely have to screw with the system, go for it.

What bothers me is when you sign a pledge then break it, as they were required to do and did in Ohio. Makes you wonder what other pledges these individuals wouldn't bother to honor.

I'm a libertarian so I'm not keen on voting for either of them.
