I don't need to anything new at 40/42, but I would take an Fridays (on the way), Red Lobster, Olive Garden / Carabba's, a JC Penney's (on the way)/ Sears, Borders/Barnes & Nobles/ Books A Million all at White Oak.

Oh, put in the Timber Dr extension while we are at it.

I would love to see the TooJays Deli/restaurant chain from FL move up this way. There are a few near my moms in West Palm County. They've got a great menu, breakfast items too....great deli items!

I'm an Olive Garden fan also. When I lived in KS, we use to eat there quite often. Would be nice to have one a little closer.

  12. Grew up in Northern New Jersey, The diners were the places my buddies and i would hang out in during the 70's, Best ones I would have to say were owned by Greek immigrants. Use to work in New York in my fathers meat business when it was in the West Harlem Market. Right across the street was a diner, a real greasy spoon, Best coffee and cream of wheat.

I made my way down to Delaware and the had a couple but nothing to compete with New Jersey and New York. Eventually ended up in South Florida for close to a decade before moving here. The shiney diner on 70 is nice but the food is nothing like it was up north.

Not sure if anyone remembers the Bounty commercials with Rosey. Well they were filmed in one of those diners. It was on rte 46 in teterboro right on the first circle after you came across the GWB. From what i understand they moved it up to MI.

I just thought of another thing I would love to have locally: a Rita's. Mmmmmm Wild Black Cherry....The closest one right now is all the way over in Cary near crossroads.
