I go to Wellspring Community Chrurch and we would love to have you visit. Services are at 10:30. It's officially on Short Journey Rd, but you can see it from the intersection of Amelia Church and 42W. It is a contempory church.
Can you give a little more info about the church, is it nondenominational, is there a praise band with contemporary music, is there a website and as for location, if i am heading to Clayton from 4042, would that mean that i turn right across from Amelia Church? Thanks for the info
We are former C3 members but have attended the Church @ Clayton Crossings for the last 4 years. We purchased the Winn-Dixie in Clayton almost a year ago. We have a praise band, 2 services 9:00 & 10:30, small groups, Bible study, etc. We would love for you to come visit.
Turner Memorial Baptist Church is traditional/contemporary. We are Baptist, we have traditional SS, bible study groups, Youth group, Awanas for kids, mission trips, Mens and Ladies groups, etc. We offer 3 services, 8:30, 9:45 and 11:00 always have a Praise Band and most of the time also a choir. TMBC is located on Hwy50, across from Turner Farms. For more info please visit http://www.tmbconline.org/Site/TMBC_Home.html And don't let the For Sale sign in the yard fool ya - we're in the process of relocated/building a new, larger church just a few miles down the road to accomodate all the growth! If you have other questions, please feel free to PM me.
Hopefully it will be a productive thread on finding what JoCo needs but you are the poster that started the negativity, sassiness, & mention of bashing. Slow down on the ****y pills, Clif. The air quality has to be quite thin up there.
We are also former C-3rs. We have been currently attending Turner Baptist as well, and love it there. The 2nd service is a mix of contemporary and conventional (they sing 1 or 2 standard hymns, all the rest of the songs are praise and worship). The pastor there is wonderful as well.
Thanks Clif - it looks interesting. Another question for the members, about how many members does this church have and are they truly involved in the community?
I don't know when the last time you had the chance to attend, but we are in our new building now. What a difference.
This is where my daughter has been going and she goes to the youth group on Wednesday nights. My husband I went with her on Easter Sunday and really enjoyed it and do plan on, well at least I do, going again. I really liked the relaxed feeling there and I saw some people there dressed up and some dressed more casual. My daughter loves Katrina, big sister she never had, to death and is looking forward to going to camp. I am one of those that is real picky about church. I was born and raised Catholic and have really had a hard time finding a Catholic church that I really enjoy.
The church has a nondenominational feel, but is affiated with Baptists. There is a contemporary praise band. There is a big focus on "journey groups", which are bible studies that meet at people's homes. Most of the outreach right now is done through journey groups. Right now they are hosting Financial Peace University -Dave Ramsey's 13 week financial eduction seminar. Website is www.wellspringcommunity.com To get to the church from 4024, you would take 42 toward Clayton. Pass through the light at Amelia Church Rd and take the next right turn. The chuch is on the left. Dress how you like-we have some bikers in their leather and jeans all the way to suits and fancy dresses, although most of the people fall in the middle of those extremes. It's not a big church (esp by C3 standards) but it's not super tiny either. If you have any more ?'s, please ask.
I know that most in this area will not want to do the drive, but we were one of the Core Family's that helped start Journey Church over off of Oak Forest in Raleigh. We started out with about 25 people 2 years ago, and now average around 600 over 3 services. We are the ones with the commercial that says "Don't just attend church, take a journey". We do contemporary service with full praise band (Hillsong, Steve Fee, David Crowder etc). We are looking to launch our 2nd campus in the fall. Our website is: http://www.takeajourney.org/ Next weekend we are having our party in the parking lot service. One big service with a cook-out and rides etc for the kids.
