There was a bug on my dog. I have never seen this type before. It's gray and round and rubbery. Underneath it has hundreds of legs! It came off my dog pretty easy, but then it started running really fast with it's legs!
its called a rolly pollee bug ....we used to play with them all the time, they roll up in a ball....they are harmless. http://www.whatsthatbug.com/Pill.html
Thanks! But it didn't look like that. It was like a perfect circle shape! Rubbery and gray....... Could it be a milliepede? (sp)
Actually, I looked at the wrong bug! The "round" one looks just like the bug on my dog! THANK YOU! Eww! Do I need to spray my house for this? My dog has all his preventive medicine, etc... That round little sucker could have been in the olympics it ran so fast!
they are common in dark cool spots, outside....I am sure he (the bug) just hitched a ride in from when your dog was out....
Great!~I looked at the link and now have the chills, as well as feel bugs crawling all over me. <shivers>
I came across one of these - on my walk today. <shudders>. He was more red, but same size. Big, fat, and yucky!
YUCK!! I do not like them long bugs....and centipedes, uggghhh they creep me out, you can chop them in half and one half goes one way and the other half goes the other way..... gives me the eeby jeebies....
maybe you can help me out with this one: a weeny tiny caterpillar looks like a stick, sitting on a mailbox's handle. What's the heck is that?? I'm a mail carrier and I've seen it on almost everybody's mailboxes. Everytime I open the handle, I smashed it. Yike!
A praying mantis? Love them. brb... with photo... This praying mantis was on the arm of my chair 6 stories up at our friends house in Altlanta.
A cute little inchworm, maybe? They will stand up and look like sticks sometimes. They come in brown, green, and colors in between.
I took a picture and showed it to someone, it was an ENGORGED TICK! EWWWWWWWWWWWWW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I love praying mantis!!!! I bought my son a kit where you get eggs to hatch baby ones!! I can't wait to see them. I'll release them in my garden.:hurray:
