I saw that on TV last night. The officer on the case said two of the girls said that they probably wouldn't be goin to the prom. Put them away and then put the parentss away.

I wonder what these kids parents thought about this.
Speaking of parents, where were they?

If I'm not mistaken I heard on the news today one of the kids parents said the girl being attacked provoked the attack. Which is completely stupid no one deserves to be attacked like that.

From the part of the video I watched, it started out with her taking a beating. Poor little girl never fought back!

I heard right which really disappoints me. I found this after doing a little searching.

The girl was taken to the hospital with a concussion, damage to her left eye and ear, and numerous bruises. The victim's father says the girls wanted to create a video that would become popular on You Tube. But the mother of one of the arrested teens ays the victim provoked the attack by threatening and insulting the girls on My Space.
All eight suspects were charged last week with battery and false imprisonment.

I saw this on the news this morning. The mother of one of the girls was interviewed, claiming her daughter tried to warn the girl. But, it was at their house, and the mother said the girl provoked it. She was so ignorant, it was unbelievable. No one deserves that kind of treatment. The policeman said some of the girls kept saying they guessed they wouldn't be able to go to the beach the day they were arrested. Then, one of them asked would she be out in time for cheerleading practice.
It sounds like these girls all need their parents to stand up and be held accountable. They need some major discipline.

Another case of a bunch of teen girls who think they are bad a****. I wish, I wish, I wish the victimized girl would have hauled off and knocked the flyin h*** out of the other girl. That would've messed their video all up, wouldn't it? And it is just too cool that they got caught and in trouble. LOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOL That sounds bad but they deserved it.

And I know that alot of teen girls read alot on here. So let this incident serve as a lesson to all teen girls out there with LAME grudges. You are not cool. You are acting like idiots. Be glad you're not the daughters of some of the moms on here. GROW UP. Maybe you should hang out more with the so called "nerd" girls, you know, the ones always made fun of, and learn how to act like someone who's had proper raising.

Having two girls, my heart goes out to these parents. The only thing that I tend to disagree with is the father placing some of the blame with youtube, Myspace etc..
I've got news for him, this probably would've never occurred if the girls knew there'd be really bad consequences to their actions. Don't get me wrong, I personally having no use for youtube, Myspace or any of those other sites, never heard any good coming from them. But it boils down to parents not being involved with their kids, not being aware of what their kids are involved in and just plain old poor parental control and a very big lack of descipline in the home. If they were brought up in the right way (the old fashion way) these types of actions would never enter a young girls mind. The blame remains solely on the parents and the kids.

One of the moms was saying on the news that her child shouldn't be punished since she only watched and didn't actually do any hitting......:banghead:
