I'm always interested in new businesses that are coming into the area, and thought maybe we could start a thread just for that. I don't want this to turn into a "let's bash walmarts" thread, but if someone sees or hears of a new store or other business opening up in the local area, could you please post it here for us nosy people? I'll start...this isn't exciting to me, but maybe to someone it will be...There's a new garden store - Garden Max, I think - opening up by the new Lowes Foods.
My husband works for Capital Pools and is going to be running that store when it opens - just aren't sure exactly how soon that will be.
Folks, do we have to limit it to cement and steel built businesses? I'm jsut as interested in someone who opens a business at home, as long as they can legally and ethically provide the service they promise. 6
Any new, legal, local business is welcome! (I put LEGAL in there, because we don't need Rick & Lynn coming in and taking over the thread!)
Like now would be great, getting ready to get the pool ready for the season and need a few things - it would be so convenient to have them up there now.
Hey DMJ mom!!! I was driving by Chilis at White Oak today and noticed that the there has been some grading going on next door to Chilis. Any thoughts???
Hey AW! I noticed that too, and by Target. I think over by Target is where the TGIF's is going, not sure what's happening by Chilis. Anyone?
The site by Chilis had a picture of some shops but I did not read it quick enough except to only tell it is a small section of stores. OMG, I would just love it if there was a Panera Bread there!
I noticed that across from the new Cleveland Springs subdiv. there is a sign stating Future residential retail and recreation facilities...or something like that.
no doubt, that is the worst....I usually enter down there by Bojangles and cruise through the strip mall parking lot.....
There is a new Physical therapy place that opened in the building with Morgan's Gymnastics and the Post Office. It's called Capstone Physical Therapy. We know the owner, he's a great guy. BTW, we also know Scott at Orthos. I certainly don't want to take business away from him, but if you're closer to 4042 than Clayton, Capstone would be an alternative.
OK, I drove by the construction site at Chilis, and the only sign that's up is on White Oak, and I couldnt' read it that well while driving. But it does show a picture of a "strip mall" type building, and the only thing on it was a picture of some shops and one said sporting goods. But I'm not sure if that's a store coming, or if it's just a generic sign with different types of stores listed. I looked for a better/larger sign to read in the parking lot, but there wasnt' one. Grinder usually knows this stuff, but I haven't seen him on in a while. And do we know for certain that it's TGIF coming over by Target?
Thats not good enough information DMJMom, you get your fanny right back in that car and pull up on the curb and figure out what the deal is....we'll be right here waiting.....
