I enjoy taking pictures of just about everything under the sun, well include the sun and someone told me about a site you can post your pictures on and people would buy them? Anyone know what site this is? My old neighbor came into our yard one day and wanted to take pictures of the mushroom cluster in the front yard, he told me the site but I can't remember to save my life. TIA
OMG!!! MUSHROOMS!!! In your yard, you better get them outta there before the weed police come and take you away!!! :jester:
:lol::lol: LMAO, this was our old house in Clayton. Neighbors didn't mind the *shrooms* we had growing :lol::lol:
I think you can post on istockphoto.com and you get a cut of the sales. If you're web savvy, there is another service that will basically host the ecommerce part of your site and process the transactions (for a cut) when you sell a photo via your site.
1. Thank you! 2. I'm not web savvy. I'm not looking to make a billion bucks, but every penny counts and I think I'm pretty dern good with a digital camera. I take pictures of EVERYTHING!
My wife was taking a lot of pics last year - mostly farms etc on Little Creek Church Rd. By web savvy, I meant that if you had a website for your pics the second service I mentioned meshed in seamlessly. Where can we see your pics? And yes, every penny does count. I've got a Johnston County job board that makes a few pennies every day.
HG there is a lot of sites you could get your pics on if they meet very strict requirments. Most digital photos look good on your computer but when pros break them down for color, noise, lighting and so on, you will be amazed at how few photos are actually worthy of selling. Most of the time your photos should atleast be 4 mp or better. Good luck with your adventure. Oh and some of the sites you can go to is shutterstock.com and istockphotos.com
Not 100% sure, but I think on istock you have to have your photos approved for sale- you submit three and they either accept or deny.
