The door on our armoire has been detached for a couple of years. We have tried to fix it ourselves with no success. We want to have it repaired. The best scenario would be to have someone repair it in our home since it is a large piece of furniture. Please let me know if you have any suggestions.

How is the door detached? Are the screw holes for the hinge stripped out? If so, you can fix it with some toothpicks and glue. Simply coat the toothpick with glue and push it into the hole (it may take two or three toothpicks). Once the glue is dry, trim off the toothpicks with a steak knife (be careful and don't cut yourself). Then simply reattach the hinges.
