I saw that last night on the news...She nearly died. I can't understand it. My brother was hit by two drunk drivers and was laid up in the hospital for 6 months. All they got was slapped on the wrist also. This was about 15 years ago, you would think the laws would be a lil tougher by now.
I understand what you are saying and yes if he is from Mexico he will probably "jump the fence again" but not all illegal immigrants are from Mexico. Some are from other countries in South and Central America. All I am saying is that often people assume that these illegal immigrants are from Mexico when indeed they are from other countries. However, with that being said, many of these people that come from these other countries do cross the border via Mexico. We often hear that many of these people come for the better life, but then take advantage of our freedoms and then do awful crimes. Our country is in a very tough spot with immigration and I don't see any end in sight.
771 million tax payer dollars in NC a year I saw this online. NC taxpayers paid 771 million dollars last year to support illegals. I do not care what race you are or where you come from, this has got to stop. Based on 2006 census estimate that equates to around $88 per person in NC. This includes children too. So $88 per person in your family. Woohoo, we paid $352 last year to help these poor people have a better live. :twisted:
Actually it's a little less, if you take in to account the illegal immigrants who. by definition, don't show up on census polls.

Shame on you! Don't you know these folks are the lowest forms of life on this planet and contribute absolutely nothing to the country. I would say that the average "Illegal" quite possibly contributes more to the country than they ever get out of it. Just MHO!
Yes, but the vast majority are of "Latino" descent. Aways back the Mexican govt actually passed out pamphlets on how to make it in the US as an illegal. In any event, if they are illegal they need to go. Legal immigrants pay big bucks and cut through mass amounts of red tape to become naturalized.
We can thank our politicians like Fred Smith who have done nothing but get rich off the illegal backs. We have to elect people willing to tackle this issue.
