Hello, I have a bridesmaid dress that I need altered ASAP. The wedding is 2/29. I've lost some weight and it is not fitting properly. If anyone knows of a quality tailor in this area or does alterations themselves, please let me know. Thanks
The Dry cleaners behind McDonalds, across from Foodlion, there is a lady in there that does alterations. there is a new dry cleaners up beside La Piazza, in the Lowes Foods plaza...not sure if they do alterations though.
the drycleaners on the backside of CVS also did it a few years ago,not sure if still do (gotta love being taught how to sew as a child:hurray
I don't know how fast she could get to you, but I have used Jenny's Alterations several times. One example, she took in a tailored, lined pantsuit, a full size to fit me perfectly. Here is her contact info - she does fittings by appointment only, but she'll see you days/eves/weekends. Jenny Gorman 561 N. O'Neil Clayton (919) 427-7821
You might try Ho's Tailor Shop | (919) 779-2513 556 Village Ct, Garner, NC They're right off of 70, I took my daughters flower girl dress there, and it was ready within a few days. I tried local dry cleaners and they sent me there.
Ick, don't bother - took them 2 tries to get a zipper put back in a coat properly. Then, when I still was not satisified - he wanted me to drive it to his seamstress down 42 myself.
Thanks for all the quick replies. I have called Linda and will go in tomorrow. She says time crunch is not a problem.
I also used Linda years ago, her price was great and it only took a couple days to get it done. Can't remember what it was though...
What is the name of the dry cleaners behind mcd's I have looked everywhere and cannot find the number or name of the place behing the mcdonald's on 42 higway (across from the Food Lion) Can anyone help me out? I am needing a prom dress dry cleaned for Relay for Life's second chance prom April 25!! Thanks!!

the name of it is Quality Cleaners and I think it is the pilkintons who own it,,,not sure on the name of the people.
just fyi: the new place over by lowes foods does alterations, a friend of mine just dropped off a suit this morning and he'll have it back by tomorrow afternoon with it alterred. they're taking 10-20% off right now too since they're new. (I'm the one that referred him, and I only got 10% off and he got 20%!! GRRR!)
Thanks!! Thanks so much for the information!! I looked up the number on switchboard. 661-0437 if anyone else ever needs it!!
I have to agree that Linda at Thrifty Threads is awesome! She's working on DD's gown for the military ball. She had that thing pinned in less than 5 minutes. She's very good at what she does. I know one of the local dry cleaners uses her for their alterations.
