Hello, I have a bridesmaid dress that I need altered ASAP. The wedding is 2/29. I've lost some weight and it is not fitting properly.
If anyone knows of a quality tailor in this area or does alterations themselves, please let me know.
    Thanks

Try your local Dry Cleaners... sometimes they do alterations.

The Dry cleaners behind McDonalds, across from Foodlion, there is a lady in there that does alterations. there is a new dry cleaners up beside La Piazza, in the Lowes Foods plaza...not sure if they do alterations though.

I don't know how fast she could get to you, but I have used Jenny's Alterations several times. One example, she took in a tailored, lined pantsuit, a full size to fit me perfectly. Here is her contact info - she does fittings by appointment only, but she'll see you days/eves/weekends.

You might try Ho's Tailor Shop | (919) 779-2513 556 Village Ct, Garner, NC
They're right off of 70, I took my daughters flower girl dress there, and it was ready within a few days. I tried local dry cleaners and they sent me there.

Ick, don't bother - took them 2 tries to get a zipper put back in a coat properly. Then, when I still was not satisified - he wanted me to drive it to his seamstress down 42 myself.

Thanks for all the quick replies. I have called Linda and will go in tomorrow. She says time crunch is not a problem.

I also used Linda years ago, her price was great and it only took a couple days to get it done. Can't remember what it was though...

I have to agree that Linda at Thrifty Threads is awesome! She's working on DD's gown for the military ball. She had that thing pinned in less than 5 minutes. She's very good at what she does. I know one of the local dry cleaners uses her for their alterations.
