I have this idea that I want to get a blanket/quilt with various children's pictures on it to give to my Mom for Mother's day or it could be a belated gift if it doesn't get done in time. Does anyone know who is creative and does this kind of work Thanks Ro Ro
I've taken a class in it, but I've never made one myself. It's actually pretty simple, just labor intensive when it comes to making the quilt (depending on the size of the quilt). Get the photos you want on the quilt, have them printed out on the special fabric (that you can get at JoAnn's or Hancock Fabric), then have the quilt made. I'd strongly suggest you contact someone at Whistle Stop Quilt Stop in Selma (great place) for further info. Their website is http://www.whistlestopquiltshop.com/ There are several other quilt stores in Raleigh/Cary that you can ask as well... Also, there's a forum called sewforum.com and they have listing areas of people who will make this for you. Feel free to pm me if you have any more questions.
