It's hard to keep your mouth shut because you are always running it. Blabbing about the obvious and no point cackling.

Lately? His always been this way, well since I've been a member. But at the same time he does ad value, humor and the occasional pick me up to other folks. So he is outspoken....who on here is not??

Even though he does like to put on the front of grumpy old man sometimes he's not a bad person.
Maybe he just needs to get some. :jester: LOL j/k SS....

Now we all need to sing kumbaya and :grouphug:

    Bootsie,

As his personal site, Webbie isn't required to tell anyone where they fell short of what he will allow on his board.

As for the business model, I understand it's all about the hits. And as long as people are responding to a website and the hits are tallied, then that's a good thing. Sort of like a pro sports team having a winning season and keeping the seats and revenue coming in. Pro ball team owners don't pay athletes to win, they pay them to keep rumps in seats, and revenue streams positively flowing. If the product goes from being a desirable one ( i.e. wining team or a popular board) to a less than desirable one (losing team or board with less than desirable content) then the owner is adversely affected. As such, each has the responsibility to maintain his product as a desirable commodity. I 'get' the business model.

I am unsure as to what happened. The timeout was short lived. You bring far too much value to me as a part of this board, and I appreciate your ability to turn a phrase, or provide illuminating discourse. I think the repetitive use of the urban dictionary thing got old quickly, and then became a lowered barometer of discourse that detracted away from the value, especially in the section where it was mentioned to public office candidates. I don't know who said it on that section. I'm not accusing you of anything. This is one of those boils on the tiger's butt things. Short lived discomfort that should become history.

You have my utmost respect. If I still don't understand the model, please correct me.

Just out of curosity how would people feel if Webbie banned everyone involved in that conversation? Do you think that would have been fair?

but nobody did anything wrong. the rick/lynn thread was way more graphic and (potentially) offensive, and it went on for days and days and weeks......heck some are still on here.

I didn't see the conversation, so I don't know. Did everyone "pile on" or did the comment stand alone?

Honestly, it's water under the bridge, time to move along. We've all had our wrists slapped at one time or another.

Posts got deleted to point the majority of the blame on Ken...to make it look like he acted alone, when it isn't true. He was singled out.

I agree with you. I started that thread for a totally different reason. I'm not saying anyone was wrong, but like koo said webbie can do whatever. Why Ken was singled out I don't know, but at least only one person got banned and it wasn't long at all. Ken should be proud that he took the punishment for all, makes him an icon. ( j?k don't attack.)
