venero's rocks! I just want to say that my family and I went to Venero's last night on Hwy. 70 and it was great!! We had the baked clams as an appetizer (could have actually been a meal) and they were out of this world!! A lot better than some fancier restaurants I have been too. We will definitely be back.
its my favorite resturant!! Good Pizza, dinners and the wait staff works hard to make sure you are taken care of!
best garlic knots I don't get there to often. I think the last time i was there was about 9 months ago. Use to go with friends alot. But I LOVE their Godfather dish Manicotti, Ziti, and Shells. And honey mus-My Friend dressing on my salad. Their Garlic Knots are the best anywhere. I would pit their garlic knots against anyone else's. Oh man its 7:20am and I am already jonesing for some of their food. MMMMMMMM
We've been going there for years, my favorite italian restaurant. Pizza, garlic knots, manicotti, stromboli, yummmmm...it's all good!
What night are ya all going on that its soo good --we stopped going for a long time as the garlic knots were so hard and our sauce was so watered down and full of tomato chuncks. Have they changed the recipes and who is doing the cooking -- if so, it may be worth trying again.
I'm with you there, wondering if there is a secret Venero's that I've never been too! Used to work very near there and would have to go for lunch on occasion. Never voluntarily, I can assure you. If they've improved lately, I'd give it another try.
I havent been in about 2 years ... DH had a bad (stomach) experience there and wont go back ... and he's usually the one I go out to eat with!
We went on a Friday night around 6:00. The tomato sauce wasn't watered down with us at all. It was delicious, actually. Maybe it all depends on who is the chef for the night!!
yeah they are great, when our choir and band have our winter fine arts banquet they always cater and are great!!!
I have to say they have the BEST garlic knots I have ever had. I love the cheesy knots. YUM! I think their sauce is yummy too. They have really good pizza too...my only complaint is their Canadian Bacon (ham) topping is cut up in to chunks and not sliced. This makes the pizza really floppy and hard to eat because the topping is so heavy that way. Otherwise super good!
Awsome This place Rocks. They have the Best Pizza Buffet at lunch time. If you can get in. The dinners are the best I have ever eaten. I have been a Cook for a long time and realy love this place. Wish I could work there. But they are not hiring. I understand why. This is the best place around. The drive is worth it.
We have been several times based on recommendations from this discussion board and friends. DH and I went today for the lunch buffet. Only fair. The garlic knots that everyone is raving about were very hard and not good at all. Pizza was only luke warm. Just not our favorite restaurant. But we do plan to return one evening to try the baked clam appetizer that has been recommended.
Sometimes on a Sunday or Monday the food isn't as good as the rest of the week. But on Fri - Sat, good stuff!!! We have gotten some of the hard garlic knots and just asked for new ones, staff has always tried to make our dining experience good.
