O.K. So We tried the White Swan B.B.Q and Chicken place out on 301 by the flee markets.
It Totaly was the nastiest place I have ever been.
I ordered the Fish lunch. It came with fries and cole slaw. The Fish was the smallest thing , I thought what a tadpole this thing is. ( Probably was ) But Had to get up to get my own fork, I did not know that slaw was a finger food.
My Girl Friend had ordered the Chicken sandwich for lunch, HHHAAAAA.
Now that was funny, They said that they don't do the lettuce and tomato thing. Then it came , It was just a very large chicken breast Still on the Bone with a burger bun on the outside.
The only thing that was any good was the Slaw. The waitress was also the cook and dishwasher.
The owner was walking around appoligising to others for the bad tasting BBQ they were serving. She was saying that they must have put something differant in the meat. As we were checking out , I noticed the Owner cutting a plastic bag of pulled pork and dumping it into the other pork that was already there. NAAAA I SAY. Don't do it. Stay far away from this place . Unless you like to experiment with your stumach linning.

The only White Swan I've eaten food from is the one at 210, and its always been good!

Most of them are franchises, and most of them are good. The one at the Handi-Mart between Wilsons Mills & Selma is good, and they have cheap gas, too. The original, on 301 down towards Holt Lake, is (or was) owned by Linwood Parker, and it always had a good reputation.

How do you put chicken with a bone on a bun? That's funny. I've never eaten there, so I have no comment. Should have gone to Holt's Lake right up the road.

I had heard good things about the White Swan.

    Wanted to.

We wanted to go to Holts Lake BBQ. But to our dismay they are closed on Sundays. Bummer we thought. A long drive for nothing. Or the Rolaids we need after the White Swan. Should be called the Dark Duck. Or Duck and Run.

Years ago, there was a White Swan at the intersection on 70 in Clayton where the Walgreens is now. Before the White Swan, it was a Hardee's...
BUT, I had the same experience, ordered the chicken sandwich, and to my surprise, it was the whole chicken breast on the bone in the bun!

The one that used to be at the gas station at Barber Mill Rd & 42 in Clayton was good, its a WeinerWorks now...or something like that.
