just in time!!! I have been on a diet for a couple of weeks now. Great:? What do they have low in fat? a bun with tomato? oops no bun. ugh... I might have to break down for a day. :beathorse:
I took my self there last night...I was all excited....Got my burger and fries and onion rings. Pulled out on to 42 and some butt head blew the light. I slammed on the breaks and everything went flying. Fries and rings all over the car. The cup holder worked and held onto my diet coke -( like that was going to help the calories). I got to eat the burger though and it was very good. - lucky
They have a really good Grilled Chicken Sandwhich with BBQ Sauce, Mayo, and sliced pickels! So that is not too bad! Then share the fries and the shake! LOL
After all the talk about the banana pudding milkshake I had to go get one last night. It was awesome! I had not tried that one before. I usually get strawberry or chocoloate. I am so glad that it has opened because each time I drive by the one in Cary my car gets a mind of its own and just pulls in there for a shake...and sometimes huspuppies...and sometimes fries....and then a cheeseburger cook out style....and sometimes a hot dog...see where this is going? I will never loose my baby weight now that Cook Out is opened up at the exit.
I have a 3 week old so I know exactly what you mean!! And I drive by the one in Garner all the time too! LOL
Hey, I have a 21 and 17yr old....and I know what ya mean too..:jester: But, I haven't eaten at one before, so I am looking forward to it!
The grilled chicken sandwich(forgot the exact name) with canjun spices and texas pete sauce rules!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
OMG!!! The banana pudding shake was awesome! DH got chocolate cherry. Older DS got oreos and Short DS got reeses cups. I tried all of theirs but mine was the best!
As someone involved on a daily basis with commercial construction, I was very surprised the land was cleared, the structure and paving was built, the restaurant was stocked and opened for business in a matter of just a few weeks. Impressive. Kudos to the GC and store manager
As someone who works for the company that stocked the interior products for the contractor, it was more than just a few weeks. Atleast a few months in the making, maybe. Its not as if it was a forest on that corner to be cleared, it only needed to be graded. Seemed like an average construction schedule for a place that size, no dining room seating, just kitchen area on this inside. No great detail, decorating, or special architecture to worry about.
Ahhh OK. . .I've never been to one yet. I thought you could go in. With the mirrored windows, it's a bit hard to tell from driving past.
We went 2x on Friday. YES, twice! After school treat for the DS and then back for dinner. It was a great night to sit outside and have dinner. Service was FAST and the food was good. Mmmmmm!!!
Love the Cookout, but I'm going to have to get out of the car and use the walk-up window from now on. I can't believe that in their first week of being open, their drive-thru speaker sounds like my toy GI Joe walkie talkies I had when I was a kid (except, with a blown speaker). The only plus about the drive thru is that it's fun to watch some moron on the outside lane block people on the inside lane, when there's not enough room to pull up to the second window. (As long as I'm not in a hurry, and have time to watch the fun.)
