Any around the 40/42 area that you all can recommend? And approximately how much is it to pick nowadays? --haven't been in 2 years. Thanks.

Smiths Nursery on Sanders rd is a good place too and I think their picked buckets were only $9.

I go to Smith's every week. We got two full buckets for less than $12 last weekend....can't wait to go again this weekend. I love their strawberries and so do my boys!

Today my son and I went to Hilltop Farms which is a certified organic produce farm in Willow Springs. We went on a tour of the farm with the mom's group I belong to.
You can just pick strawberries too.
It's a farm where you buy a membership to buy the organic produce off the farrm. Don't know all the details. Sounds really cool. I know currently the membership is full. You don't have to be a member to pick strawberries.
    Check out their website. www.hilltopfarms.org
Very easy to find. Not far from Porters.
From the heart of 40/42 area go down 42 about 9 miles. Turn right on Hill Top Rd. After about 1/2 mile turn left on Kennebec rd.
The farm's address is 6612 Kennebec Rd Willow Springs 27592
Mapquest directions were very good. (for a change!)

Hard to have to drive further than Porter's. Porter's strawberries are delicious this year. And strawberries are very easy to pick.
